Help Needed With Fan Motor Disassembly!

Welp, it happened again 🤦‍♂️

Hopper was completely - and I mean COMPLETELY - full, and water got inside and expanded every last one of them.

I’m attempting to take the motor out to remove the auger to clear the obstructions, but the pin and nut holding the fan motor in place was installed upside down. This happened to me before on a previous model, and I’m not exactly sure how I got it off, but now it’s also like that again on my Phoenix Onyx model. Like WTF is the manufacturer and assembly line techs thinking when they put these together?!

Has anyone else had this same issue before, and, if so, how did you remove it? I can’t even tell if it’s a small Phillips head or an Allen wrench head. So frustrating, to say the least. Thanks in advance for any input and assistance you all can provide.

Why can’t I catch the culprit on my Ring camera?!

We’ve lived in our new home for 2 years this month.

Since moving to this house, we have had constant issues with someone’s dog shitting in our yard from day 1 - even though we purchased small and nice yard signs saying something along the lines of “Please be respectful - Pick up your dog’s waste”.

After noticing the hint was not received, after the first year, we went ahead and purchased a Ring Camera and I installed it in a position to view the entire front of the home, thinking we could at least see who/what dog was doing it so we could have a simple conversation with the owner(s).

However, for whatever godly reason, I’m STILL not able to see the dog doing it, even after changing my settings to highly sensitive and all that. I’m at a loss on what to do so I can make this end.

I contacted Animal control, but nothing was done / installed cameras that don’t even pick up the perpetrator(s) / have signs asking for people to be respectful and not let their dog do their business in our yard.

Any suggestions?!

**UPDATE** After 2 frustrating years, on 08/03/2028 @ 1230 am, I have finally caught the neighbor’s dog roaming around freely throughout the neighborhood.

(if I had the opportunity to post a video I would, but this Sub is not allowing me the option)

Anywho, after videoing the dog - whom was standing in the middle of the road a block away from their home, and one who I almost hit upon entering - I videoed and followed the dog home, who appeared spooked at my vehicle coming into the neighborhood.

After getting all the way to my home and seeing him going back across the street from his walk of shame to his home, I inspected my yard, and, what do you know, a fresh lump of dookie 💩 😡

Now, I have my confirmation, and then went inside and grabbed a few spare grocery bags and a few disposable gloves, I then start picking it all up as my wife is shining the flash light to help me locate all the piles along the front and side of our home that is adjacent to the suspect.

**THE BEST PART** exactly as I finish with the (ballpark) 10th pile, the owner comes out to grab the dog, who is now barking at me from the front of their yard. I, politely, explain that their dog was in the road when I pulled into the neighborhood and that it’s not a good idea to let the dog out and about at night unleashed, because, as I suspected, all signs point to their dog being the culprit from being a free roaming dog in the wee hours of the night/early morning while most other residents are asleep.

I just received a blank stare - which made me even more upset, even though I didn’t show it or whatever. After all that, not even a sorry / I apologize - just a blank stare back.

So, I placed the sack of shit in their yard and said “and this is yours” and simply walked away.

We will see what happens from here, but it’s very refreshing to finally have the opportunity to catch the culprit, and let the owner know that **I** now know they’re the ones letting their dog out to do their business with no leash at night - on top of getting to give it all back for them to now handle. I hope she’s embarrassed and I shouldn’t have been put in that position in the first place. Just don’t be asshole dog owners if you’re going to have them. Nobody wants to pick it up as it is - but especially if it’s someone else’s dog who is allowed to do whatever they please in the middle of the night with no repercussions.

Hopefully she gets the hint, and I can now move on with no further issues. Case closed 👏
