₹9 lakh investment — monthly ₹5,000 income or yearly ₹60,000? INVIT/REIT vs SWP
I have around ₹9 lakh available to invest and I want to generate approximately ₹5,000 per month (₹60,000/year) as a secondary income.
I’m confused between these options:
REITs / INVITs – invest ₹9 lakh and take the distributions
SWP from a mutual fund – invest ₹9 lakh in a suitable mutual fund and withdraw ₹5,000 every month
Dividend-paying stocks – build a portfolio focused on dividend income
Any other option that would be better for this objective?
Also, if you were investing ₹9 lakh today for this objective, how would you allocate it?
“Need an honest review of my portfolio ( investment period 4-5 years ).
