I am mounting this 6S3P pack (18 cells total, split into two 9 cell groups) to the bottom of my fan. Currently I have 2x 3S3P packs that I plan to mount on the fan rim on the outside. I will PVC wrap them before mounting, just looking for advice before I seal them up. I am going to mount the BMS inside the fan housing and run the wire through the gromets. Voltage reads exactly 10.56 on both 9 cell packs, so good to go there in terms of balance before connecting them.
Just want any pointers before I seal up the packs and start the wiring.
I am also going to mount two more packs on the top of the fan to balance it out, just waiting on batteries. The reason I have the packs split like this is so they don't contact the base bracket of the fan when moving the fan around. Else I'd have just done 18x cells in a 6S3P row. I had to split them for clearance. I also have to have the packs curved, so I used a 18AWG wire where the curved parts are so the wire flexes unlike the nickel strips.
Total power draw from the fan at max speed is 22V and less than 1A.
Elder border collie, one ear open, trying to relax on the beanbag chair, 9 month old abyssinian, waiting and watching. The good part about their relationship is the aby would never, ever strike while she's asleep. They have a very tight bond and understanding.
