After lots of painstaking effort
I managed to choose what I wanted! 🫠😬 only managed to get the knix period underwear on the last day of customization. Still hoping fabfitfun changes things to make this less stressful on everyone though.

So a potential client essentially decided to do a meet & greet with me and one other sitter. They just told me they were going with the other sitter. As someone who is applying to full time jobs it read like a rejection email and gave me bad vibes. I'm also not used to pet owners doing that at all and I'm afraid it contributed to my acceptance rate for star sitter. How do you guys feel about these situations?
Customization literally just opened and nothing is available but basically the equivalent to scraps... this is insane. I know people say to just go annual but you shouldn't have to pay $300 upfront to still only have a chance at getting what you want.
I get that you don't have to tip and you shouldn't expect one. But this situation is ridiculous.
First off--I accepted their booking which was an hour drive each way for me. My choice, I know. Their dogs required 4 walks a day, would eat grass and puke it up inside which i had to clean up daily (even if I pulled them away, they ate it while walking), poops were soft and couldn't be picked up with bags alone, and they peed on the floor whenever I left even just for 30 min (even after a walk) so i couldn't even really leave (they even acknowledged that it happens "as soon as you walk out the door"). I tidied up and made sure everything was cleaner than I found it (a thing i like to do when housesitting, the "campsite rule"). Owners came home 3 hours earlier than the end time they had on the booking. They told me that me getting to leave early was my tip like it wasn't their choice to come home earlier than the end time they asked for. Literally wouldn't have made a difference in the price if we adjusted the booking in the app and I didn't say anything because it would've been bad etiquette. I just feel as though that was incredibly rude and I definitely wouldn't have been as frustrated if they had just not tipped without saying anything. Honestly would've still been a little frustrated given the complications and the effort but not quite as much.
It was a $700ish booking, 7 nights for two dogs (before Rover took 20%)
Learned my lesson, will now start to add fees for distance & extra walks to make these kinds of (unfortunately inevitable) situations a bit better.
So I've sent him many photos and links and he wanted to use the opportunity to support a jeweler friend and had my ring custom made. I absolutely can't stand the shape of the side stones. According to the jeweler nothing can be done aside from starting over completely. Attaching pics of the ring I got and commenting pics of what I sent. He also went down in size because of his own opinions, I asked for 4 ct and he went for 2.5. It was not a money thing (he said he thought 4 ct was gaudy but that's not my opinion), I found/made rings online that fit my style & the diamond size I wanted that were also pretty affordable since they were lab grown, sent him the links to the websites
It's so insane how everything sold out so quickly--they should really make it so people can't add on things until after the customization period. I feel as though everyone getting a good main box should be the priority.
Hi! I really want the supergoop tinted sunscreen but it sold out in my shade within 2 hours of customization opening (insane). Is anyone willing to give theirs up? I have a Stanley that i'd be willing to give up at the same time if that could work??
