First time in all four cities as couple. Would love input on:

Weather — how cold does it typically get, and is snow likely this time of year? do we need to prepare for rain too?

Safety — any common scams or pickpocket spots to watch for, especially in crowded areas or around NYE in the evenings?

Hidden gems — we’re not big on deep history or museums, more into relaxed, scenic, festive experiences. Any local favorites that aren’t on the usual tourist lists?

**•	Safety**: Anything specific to know about getting around late at night, especially around NYE in Vienna (we’re planning to be out for the Silvesterpfad)? Any areas or situations to be cautious of as a couple?  
**•	Hidden gems**: We’re skipping the deep history/museum stuff and prefer relaxed, scenic, festive experiences. Any spots — cafés, walks, viewpoints, local food — that don’t show up on the usual “top 10” lists?  
**•**	Also curious if there’s anything Christmas Day-specific we should plan for in Salzburg, since we’ve heard a lot shuts down that day.
