Armchair Imagineer New Tomorrowland

Just for fun what would you like to see in the promised New Tomorrowland for Disneyland?! For me I don’t want a simple paint job/ reskin. I want a total go for broke tear down to dirt and rebuild. I’d also put a new Space Mountain where the current innovations currently is. Give a true Winnie to the land and pull people in.

What Theater will it be at?

It’s still a year away but any guesses on what theater 10 things I hate about you will go in? My guess is that it has to be one with a current tenant. Any upcoming ones I don’t think they can project how it will do a year out. My money is on the winter garden.

Bold Prediction

The Avatar ride will be moved to the New Tomorrowland and replace the Nemo Subs. It’s the perfect fit between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland.

Does the no resort hopping rule apply to the skyliner?

I typically like to ride the skyliner around just to take in the view and maybe grab a drink from the carribean beach pool bar. If I’m not staying there am I no li bet allowed to just get on and ride?

What is Protocol for asking her out??

Hello. So I need a ruling here. I have these friends from college who have been married and have kids etc. About a year and a half ago they got divorced. The husband has already moved on and has a new gf. I’d love to ask the wife out on a date. I’ve always thought she was pretty but we were never single at the same time until now. Since they have kids and a pretty big history and I’m friends with both of them would it be appropriate to ask the ex husband for permission to ask her out? Or is it cool to just ask her out and reach out if it gets serious? More so just cause they have kids together and if it works out I’m going to be around them a lot. If they didn’t have kids I wouldn’t care as much but Idk this is a new thing for me. I don’t wanna ruffle any feathers or have it become awakes for anyone.

Every Brilliant Thing on tour

I’m really curious to see how they market this show for the upcoming tour. Like it’s a great show don’t get me wrong. But I’ve seen several regional houses do it very well. Marketing it as Broadway show without a star I think would be a tall order. It’s an unknown show for most but you’ll go see it for Daniel or whatever star is attached to it and it surprises you. I’ll be curious who they cast and how they advertise. Any thoughts on either. Again it’s an amazing show but I feel it’s better suited for a local regional theater. It is an easy show to tour but some of those houses it’ll get eaten up in. I’m kind of surprised it’s touring at all.

Touring show sets

So how exactly do the transportation of sets work. I hear they have duplicate sets that leapfrog each other by city. So the crew gets a head start on load in and tech. But I also know that some touring houses like the Pantages in LA is a workhorse of touring Broadway shows. And will have one show close on Sunday and another one start Tuesday. I imagine some theaters are booked often and they don’t have weeks to set up a show so how does it work in those more in demand cities?

Let’s play guess the theater

So many shows are announcing or have announced they are coming to Broadway. And while some have announced a theater some are still up in the air. So with that in mind let’s play guess the theater in which we guess what theater we think will house which show based on what we know so far. You win bragging rights.

I’ll start…

3 days of rain. It says it’s at a Shubert Theater tba. My guess is either the booth or the Barrymore. It could also take the imperial after Billy Crystal is done with his show but idk that’s a pretty big theater they may want to leave open for a spring musical.

What a big day it’s been for Broadway.

I always love this time of year as every show tries to one up one another with we are coming announcements.

Theme for this years parks panel

So last time the theme for the parks panel was horizons and there was a ton of hype about it. This time it’s been oddly quiet. Are there plans for an equal sized panel this year or have they toned it down now that Josh is CEO.

Back to the Future on tour

So can someone enlighten me. I’ve seen the Tourinf version and the Broadway version. The tour is ending in portland and it seems to be ending rather suddenly. Was it supposed to be play in other cities beyond portland or was the tour always supposed to end. I know DC was in July but were other cities after that?

How to tell if my married friend is into me? Do I go for it?

So recently I got back in touch with someone I went to high school with on social media but we barely talked then, I think I had one class with her. She’s currently married. I’m single. Out of the blue I asked her out for drinks and to catch up. She agreed and we had a great time. She hugged me hello, paid for the drinks and we had great conversation. At times she even seemed a bit flirty with witty banter. And did the friendly bump into me when I made a joke as we were walking. We’ve hung out a few more times since and always have a blast. She’s easy to talk to and never puts up any kind of boundaries really. She mentioned that her husband also travels a lot. Last time she even took a selfie of us. She never has her husband join us. We are going to see a play together next week. I’m coming from out of town and getting a hotel for the night. It’ll be our 3rd time hanging out. I kind of want to make a move but I’m nervous. I’m not sure if she’s legit into me or not. If she’s not I don’t want to blow it and push her away but if she is I’d love to see where it goes. I’m getting a lot of mixed signals and want to be sure before I go for something romantic. Is she into me or is she just enjoying having a friend to talk to. She knows I know she’s married so maybe she doesn’t think I’d think these were dates?? Idk any advice? What do you all think?? I have to initiate most conversations and she’s never given me her number. It’s all been through social media. But at times I get a vibe. Is she waiting for me to start? I can’t be wrong as the whole high school would find out and I’d lose someone I’m really into.

Costume Design

Is Qween Jean the first person who could win 2 Tony’s in one night for Costume Design? I for sure see her winning for Cats but idk if the committee would give her just one
