It's all PURE LOVE right there! Also, the award=doorstop idea? I wonder where I saw that before 😏
So first things first -- I'm not promoting anything. The video in the link isn't mine. I just loved it so I had to share.
Basically, I stumbled on The Spark Parade's podcast featuring The Comeback, and I must say this might be one of the most engaging and articulate fanalysis I've encountered about the show. Their passion for the series, for Valerie and for Mickey, etc is just so infectious and relatable. It might be one of my favorite chance videos that I've watched recently. The impact of this show on the lives of the people that really get what it is and what it's about just moves me to tears.
(which was actually yesterday and I missed it) -- Bringing back Val's first classic Leno. Feel free to share the show's best quotes/gifs/screencaps because I miss Val, Mickey, and the gang too much and man, do I need a good laugh today.
Just a thought. I mean, I'd love for it to be real and for me to be able to hold an actual physical book (or a Kindle copy) "written" by Valerie Cherish about herself. All the other important actors are doing it so why not her?
Just casually rewatching s3e6 and man, I can't believe how much I ugly-cried at the ending of this episode when I first saw it. Second pass just now and it still really gets to me. I suppose I might have identified with Mark too much here -- it's one of the most devastating feelings in the world to have someone you love so deeply be torn to shreds by complete strangers (f*ck cyber/bullying seriously), but you can only do so much about it. The utter decay of humanity was depicted realistically here, I thought: people on their bullhorns screaming at full volume for others to die. Valerie telling herself and Mark that they're alright and that she'll be okay -- that was encouraging, though it's unfortunate that that isn't the case for many people. This scene hit a little too close to home for me but I loved it. Somehow, it felt like a release and for some reason, I felt like I was seen because of it.
I'm curious, apart from the finales of each season (which are the historical tearjerkers), which particular scene throughout series 1-3 resonated the most with other fans of the show? 🤔
