My oil setup V2: Redesigned with beacons
Based on the feedback from [my previous post](https://www.reddit.com/r/factorio/s/6UA9xiTFUD), I completely redesigned my oil setup.
The main goal for V2 was to pack everything under beacons while keeping the layout as clean and compact as I could.
Clean Footprint: I tried my best to keep it tidy. Even with some empty space around the rocket fuel, lubricant, and cracking blocks, the entire build fits nicely within the rectangular boundaries set by the main refineries.
Tier 2 Modules: Since I don't have Tier 3 modules unlocked in my world yet, it was a fun challenge to try and balance the high consumption under beacons with just Tier 2 tech.
P.S. I only have about 110 hours in the game so far, but I’m already absolutely addicted to designing these layouts in sandbox. Let me know what you think of V2!
My tileable oil refinery module that ended up looking like a microchip!
To be honest, I'm not entirely sure if everything here is completely sufficient or if I got all the ratios 100% right, but at least it actually works!
My main goal was to avoid making massive 8x8 belt balancers and instead route resources directly to dedicated train stations (aiming for 3-4 stops per block).
It's a tileable unit meant to produce Sulfur, Plastic, Rocket Fuel, and Lubricant with some auto-cracking.According to the Rate Calculator, I have a decent surplus of heavy oil (+236.4/s), but a noticeable deficit in light oil and petroleum gas.
