Moving to Arlington at the end of August. Looking to live in the Ballston/Courthouse/Clarendon area. Budget is around $2.5K. I am mostly looking for places to watch out for/to not even bother with. I know experiences vary. There are so many places it’s hard to narrow down. I also have a dog.
I am looking for advice on whether or not it is worth getting a masters degree to help boost law school admissions. I am currently an active duty military officer with two years until I get out. I would be looking to start law school fall of 2028. My undergrad gpa was not great (2.8 from a service academy if that makes a difference) and I am wondering if it is worth getting a masters degree to show that i can succeed in academic settings. If I were to not do that, I would plan on volunteering at non profit law organizations. I am also shooting for a 170+ on my LSAT. I know my chances at a T14 are probably shot, but if I can pull off a T30-40 I would be very happy.
