Ever wonder what happened to the guy from the 1974 KISSing competition? Mike Douglas Show. Vinnie Toro AKA Vinnie Torg

Vinnie Toro (misread as Vinnie Torg by Mike Douglas).

Vincent Joseph Toro (39) was charged with two counts of sexual assault, one count of aggravated assault and battery, plus kidnapping. The police also had a previous warrant out on him for narcotics. At the time of his arrest (February 23rd, 1982), he was described as unemployed and divorced. He was living at his brother’s townhouse in the Avenel community of Woodbridge, NJ. Vincent kidnapped a seven-year old girl from a Maplewood neighborhood street using a rented vehicle and took her back to his residence to sexually assault her. It was strongly felt he’d re-offend, so the judge threw the book at him and gave the maximum 30-year sentence. The judge called Vincent’s attack on the victim (on February 22nd, 1982), “sordid, heinous & depraved.” He was convicted and sentenced in March, 1982 and died in prison at the age of 44 in 1987. His cause of death wasn't listed. The victim much later detailed the entire horrific ordeal and her story ran in several publications geared towards women.

Brutal 1978 KISS Solo Albums review, Creem Magazine

Two page review from Creem magazine in the USA, the last picture is an English print ad for the albums. For some reason the four solo albums weren't pressed/printed in England and they were "import-only" albums.

Probably because Casablanca fucked up and pressed 1.25 million of each one expecting a huge demand and then they had about 4 million albums that went unsold and were returned to them for full credit LOL. What a disaster. They all legitimately sold about 500k albums each at the time ... or in total about what a real KISS album would have been expected to sell roughly.

Prices have gone through the roof, quality is way down, they don't even do half the subs they used to do like the seafood one etc; and today I get an email that the rewards card scheme is ending. RIP Subway, you had a good run in NZ.
