Has anyone tried this Temu lip on a mk7 or have any thoughts on whether it will fit well enough?

Bought a set of OEM convertible LED tail lights and also bought a 61120153650 adapter wiring harness. I was under the impression that the lights would function but throw the dash error code until the LCM is coded.
The lights don't turn on at all when using the adapter harness. I do get the dash error code.
Was I wrong about the lights working without coding the LCM? Or did I get a faulty adapter harness?
Anyone around Dayton/Cinci/Columbus Ohio want to code my LCM?
