Also known as Sound Proof 2 and A.O.R. 2.23, this is sun faded op1. The blue in the middle was kelly green while the gray shading was chartreuse. Imo it's cool for two reasons, this was Van's only concert after releasing Astral Weeks. Second, I believe this is the first use(1968) of graffiti style lettering. Before anyone askes, no I do not know what Rick wrote. If it means something Rick never told.

Just loaded the canoe, did the traditional "you ain't going nowhere" slap and noticed some play at this back crossbeam. How screwed am I? My 99 is all original, should I fix this or get fancy rack. Carrying canoes is what it's used for, wish I could get two up there. Thanks
Three Neon Rose One, Three and Four second prints. After doing Family Dog posters and making a name for himself Victor approach the management of the Matrix Ballroom about doing posters for them. Being an all ages venue they did not have money for posters. Victor offered to make the posters for them, giving them 200 and he would keep the rest. Victor printed as many as he could afford. Only one or two runs of the Neon Rose posters were printed. Some are still being sold by the Moscoso's.
Rick at the height of his skills. Same for Quicksilver Messenger Service. Rick and John Cipolinna were good friends for decades. Rick often attended John's shows with Terry and the Pirates, Dinosaurs and other 80s San Francisco bands.
This poster was done by Victor Moscoso in 2000 for the San Rafael poster show. It's titled "After Granville" for the French artist J.J.Grandville. He was famous for drawing animals like people. Certainly a different way to draw the big five.
I was there, got to see lots of high school friends, and a great show.
Don't care what the book featured, imo Family Dog 81 aka Mist Dance is Victor's best 60's work of art. How many of us can name a Chamber Brothers song? The Youngbloods, everyone has heard "Get Together" it's the hippie anthem!
Happy 250th, throwback poster from the bicentennial! The Straight Theater was an old movie theater on Haight St that doubled as a concert venue. All the greatest played there. Recently Mickey Hart posted on Twitter that he was looking for a 1968 poster from the Straight, his first concert with the Grateful Dead. On the Harley is Chet Helms, the founder of Family Dog. Before leaving Texas for San Francisco Chet convinced his friend not to join the 13th Floor Elevators, to instead move to San Francisco. Imagine the history if Janis Joplin sang for the 13th Floors Elevators.
Original print postcard and poster. Always been a favorite, forgot I had the postcard so I bought the poster a few years ago.
Featuring the PG version of Lee's signature. He signed this for me the last time I saw him and I realized I didn't have any of his art. Every Sat in July Lee would come to the Postermatt gallery with some of his original art, most notably "The Tree of Life". He listed that for $1000 but did not want to see it, it was amazing. Thousands of Faces that made a tree, all in black ink. I will always remember those Saturdays with Lee, a kind man, good father, working construction to support his family. Glad that he is recognized for his incredible talent!

Without a doubt the largest poster I own, it might have been a prototype flag design. It is 47"w x 33"w printed on super thin paper. The image is a bit dot matrixy. This is one of four designs that were prototypes for the 1993 reunion tour. The artist is unknown.
