I’m looking to expand for my Votann army but don’t know exactly where to go next. I have the malesotrm box (6 steel jacks, menmyr strategist, 3 pioneers),and I was told the combat patrol is also an excellent next step but I’ve seen a lot of people say that hearthguard/ einyr champion aren’t really worth their points. I’ve also been told that the land fortress is a must have. What should my next purchase be? I want to get into proper competitive play also so I’m aware rule of cool can’t go all the way

What should I buy next? A looking to add more to my army and the guys at the local game store said this box is a good start. Don’t want to spend another dollop of cash on the combat patrol (yet). What’s a unit i should add?

Me and my friend are going to play a 1020 point game of DA v WA and I have no clue how to approach it. I have the Lion, Azrael, 10 primaris intercessors (bolt rifles) a brutalis dreadnaught (talons and melta cannons), 3 innner circle companions and 5 deathwing knights (maces). He has 2 war dogs (300), a demon prince of khorne (200), master of executions (60), berserkers (360), jakhals (140). I have no clue what unit azrael should lead, and what units of his i should target with units of mine. I'm new to the hobby and a game of this size is my first and very intimidating. Any tips would be appreciated.

P.S I built this army following the rule of cool not competitive viability :)
