What’s the verdict? Is this another AOS Unit that was originally designed for warcry?

Some friends and other players from our LGS are starting a narrative campaign for the start of 11th.

The plan is to start at 500 pts and every 4 weeks add another 500. We’ve agreed to make it friendly, as many of us are new players (I still haven’t played a game about 1200 pts) still trying to learn. How would you go about making something solid for 500? I have/can get almost anything but I don’t want to spam tzaangor.

1- Probably dodged a bullet (pun intended?) not running into a shooting-heavy list. It was a Destruction-themed event, so I played Ogors, Squigalanche Gitz, and Ironjawz (big pigs). Still, Kragnos + Bulliez hit like a truck and honestly felt tankier than I expected.

2-I brought Kragnos + Sloggoth planning to go full alpha strike, but it actually felt way better playing as a counter-punch list.

3-I agreed to use a chess clock without really knowing how it worked… thought it was just to help us both track our time. By top of turn 4 (opponent gave it to me instead of taking the double)I had like 3 minutes left and my opponent had 13. I didn’t realize that meant all I could do was make save throws and the game basically ended on his double, didn’t feel great but he couldn’t quite catch up (got within 5 after being down 20+). Curious how people feel about chess clock?

4-The points drops from the last update are crazy. Kruleboyz feel fun and playableagain. New books seem a bit overtuned, based on the games I watched and my friends played. but all my opponents went 2–1 into solid matchups and I beat them pretty comfortably maybe it’s the Kragbos effect or luck but I feel optimistic ig. How’s everyone feeling about the army right now?

5- With Master & Wrathful I feel like I’m leaving points on the table. What battle tactics are you guys leaning on to score more consistently
