Does anybody else like Love Deluxe the least?

No hate; I think Sade is amazing. But I don't know, even with Love Deluxe being the most popular and celebrated, I find that it is missing many of the riffs and soul that made the previous three albums amazing.

This might be a hot take but... No Ordinary Love is my least favorite song off the album. I find the vocals to be incoherent with the instrumentation. I really don't like the chorus. However Kiss of Life, Cherish the Day, and Like A Tattoo are all great. Regardless, I feel like Love Deluxe strays away from the warmth and complexity of the previous three albums and becomes a bit too synthesised and overproduced.

What do you guys think?

How scary is Obsession?

I haven't seen too many horror movies but I've heard Obsession is really good and I want to watch it. I saw Weapons and The Conjuring - I only found them to be a tiny bit scary. Do you think I'll be able to handle Obsession?

In Shades of Scarlett Conquering by Joni Mitchell, she sings:

>Out of the fire like Catholic saints
Comes Scarlett and her deep complaint
Mimicking tenderness she sees
In sentimental movies
A celluloid rider comes to town
Cinematic lovers sway
Plantations and sweeping ballroom gowns
Take her breath away

It's from her album The Hissing of Summer Lawns. I feel like this is too similar to be a coincidence, especially considering Steely Dan was a fan of Joni Mitchell. 'Celluloid' is such a specific adjective I can't imagine being in two separate songs that weren't influenced by each other.
