I turn 18 in less than a month.

I know it sounds like a bad idea but my 9th grade teacher gave me some good advice a couple years ago. He said don’t spend money I don’t have. Don’t spend more than 30% of your limit but spend over 10% so you can build your credit score and always pay it back on time or early. now with this advice i should be able to build good credit and not ruin my life with debt. i understand that its not free money and I wont be stupid. now with that said I have an idea for my first card.

The apple master-card. now i like this option because theirs no annual fees or late fees but theirs still interest(bad) and benefit’s like cash back(good) which i feel like is a good way to build my credit.
Found out apple master-card isn’t available in canada. I would appreciate recommendations if their are any other similar cards.

I would also like it if i could get recommendations for other cards.

People saying Wayland is new makes me feel like a baby!

I hear everyone talking about how new Wayland is and I'm thinking oh this came out like in the past 2 years maybe even 5 years maximum. I'm only older than Wayland by 15 day. Like That's actually insane I'm thinking it's some ground breaking thing but it's literally as old as me.

Why is there always someone(something) better?

It feels like every time I do something new with Computers it last for a moment until i find out theirs something more difficult or better or just different. I remember first using windows and being like wow this is so complex(coming from chrome OS) then finding out about Linux I used virtual machines and then eventually dual booted windows but then i fully installed Kali Linux because i though it was cool hacker-esk. Then I found out about arch and went through the install process and was like wow this is Linux I was proud of myself i though i did everything myself and made my own Linux. WRONG. Enter Gentoo which is where i stopped currently because It takes too much time than what i have right now but Gentoo was a real slap in the face. Until today when I figured out what Linux from scratch really was. before i thought oh yea hard distro probably like arch or Gentoo but no its literally just instructions to create Linux. WHY DOES THEIR ALWAYS HAVE TO BE SOMETHING HARDER. Then I went down this rabbit hole and I'm installing artix because i just found out about systemd. and then theirs DE's and WM i think my dads so cool for using Ubuntu on his laptop when I'm a kid then find out about kde when I'm in 8th grade and think I'm better then find out about tilling window managers about 2 years ago finally being smart enough to know that I know nothing at all. like literally nothing I used to think i was smart but like there is so much that i just don't know and on top of that theirs is bound to be stuff that i don't even know i don't know and its all just overwhelming like i cant just feel smart for more than a week what do i have to do create my own silicon CPU die and create the kernel language compiler hand build each individual pixel on my screen and generate the electricity for it. Then will i finally understand everything their is about computers.

Sorry for the rant.

I'm coming back to arch

About a week ago I said that I would be leaving arch for fedora and at first it was nice then i Realized that the only thing that was good about fedora was that i just a fresh install and all the stuff that i was putting to the side configuring on arch was already configured on fedora so I am going to make a list of all the things i like about my fedora install and put them into my arch because arch also just has so much better performance as well. And to everyone that said I would be back in a week you were right.
P.S. I use arch again btw

Minecraft is the greatest game ever made.

I don’t even understand how this could be a debate. It may not be the hardest game, the most challenging, or the most competitive. It’s not the most fun to watch or the most entertaining in short bursts—I can name 20 games that give me more short-term fun than Minecraft. But in the long run, Minecraft is the most entertaining and enjoyable. You can do anything. Even before all the major updates, I remember when I was a kid I would play survival and I was never good; I didn’t build any mega bases or even find lots of diamonds. But just being able to express myself limitlessly was the most freeing thing ever.
I know some people will give their personal favorite game as the "best game ever made," but when you really think about the impact Minecraft has had, it’s clear that it’s the only true contender. Sure, games like Mario, Pac-Man, or Tetris paved the way for how games were made, and for the technology they had back then, those games were great. But Minecraft—even without mods—is just so massive. It has endless possibilities solely in the single-player mode.
And it’s not just nostalgia. This is a very old game now, and even my little brother—who turns 6 in a week—saw Minecraft somehow, I don’t even remember showing him, and he can sink hours into it just exploring how everything works. Honestly, I don’t blame him. This game has more things to do than any other game, and probably even the real world. With everything costing crazy amounts of money nowadays, me asking my mom for the 7 dollars to buy the game when I was a kid was the best purchase I’ve probably ever made in my life.
Now, the gameplay isn’t even the only thing this game has to offer; the soundtrack is the best, most listenable audio to ever be put into a video game. Listening to it now, all I can feel is pure bliss. The calming piano sounds and melodic symphony are something everyone should be able to experience. If I had to play one single game for the rest of eternity, the only game I could even think about choosing is Minecraft. You don’t have to stress yourself if you don’t want to—you can always play in Peaceful. The world is endless, and the things you can do are too. When adding even just one other player to the game, you can 20x the amount of things possible.
I’d love to see what other people think about this topic and hear your thoughts as well, but I think it’s pretty much unanimous to anyone who’s played it before that Minecraft is the greatest game ever made.

I'm leaving It was fun.

I've been using arch as my daily for the past 2 years and It's been great everything was so nice only issues I've had with it was blue tooth, audio, and printing. I have no complaints or anything like that the only issue I have is with me. My install feels too bloated right now and its completely my fault. I was at the point where i was going to reinstall arch but then decided that this is a great opportunity to try something new. I'm still never going back to windows but I've decided that I'm going to give fedora a try. I might come back to arch and I'm going to miss the AUR but its time. I'm going to miss the community goodbye
P.S. I used arch btw😢

Where do I go with my hair

So I started my locks myself about 2 years ago. I didn’t have a full head of hair and my hair was kinda short when I started. I locked up my hair because it would never grew long before. When I got locks they grew really fast. I started my locks myself and I do all my own retwists but I feel like I have a lot of reasons to restart right now.

  1. Not full head
  2. fuzzy roots
  3. No parts
  4. I feel like mine are really thick

I also was wondering if I could restart keep my old locks and get some loc extensions then Reattach after a while. Or is that cheating. I don’t really wanna restart though it’s kinda scary. Also don’t have much money quick is why I do my own hair😭

I'm 17 and I think I need to start making some money but that's besides the point. With a push mower that has a bag and a weed wacker how much should i charge per lawn. I was thinking $40 Canadian and this is a new build area where the grass just gone through its first winter so I'm trying to capitalize on this opportunity. I feel like this price gives me good money while still affordable to the customer who would be getting $25 less than the normal rate but I'm still new so I don't know. majority of fences aren't up so i think i would capitalize and to front and back for $40. and i feel like just 5 in a day i good on Saturday's and Sunday's. Should I be doing more work. Some people don't care that much about the evenness of the grass they just want it shorter i feel like getting 5 people might be a hassle but is still doable the grass will start to grow to a decent length in about 1-2 weeks so I have time to prepare and I'm ready for the hard work.
