[OC] [ART] The Exiled Blacksmith I painted, one of my latest artworks, art by me

As a former glassblower and blacksmith, he lived and worked with his family in their hometown workshop. After crafting strange tools for a mysterious traveler, a curse powder was unleashed upon him and his family by the traveler. His family was instantly petrified into obsidian statues, while only his ear and cheek was partially affected.

He blamed for the tragedy by the folk and exiled from his town, now he wanders in search of a cure, carrying an obsidian finger from one of his family members as a reminder of what he lost and the purpose of his path.

Long ago, two young brother gods Okunos and Vromeros washed ashore on the island of Okira and were taken in by two natives, Lucerne and Koreshtacar. While Lucerne saw Okunos as a brother, Koreshtacar came to love the younger Vromeros as a son. Okunos, god of land, sea and sky, brought visible prosperity and was widely adored, while Vromeros, god of dreams, hopes and visions, offered subtler gifts that the people slowly came to overlook. As worship of him faded, Vromeros grew consumed by jealousy, a bitterness that Koreshtacar shared and deepened, resenting how easily the people praised Okunos while neglecting his son. In time, this festering pain erupted, Vromeros led an army of nightmare-born creatures against Okira, though Koreshtacar, warned in advance, fled before the assault. Okunos defeated his brother but could not bring himself to kill him, instead casting him into an eternal slumber. To Koreshtacar, this was not mercy but a cruel betrayal. Grief twisted into hatred, and he swore vengeance upon Okunos and all who had abandoned Vromeros. Over centuries, his love for his son curdled into obsession; he embraced lichdom, raised an order of Graveknights, and patiently wove his schemes. Now, after ages of silence and preparation, he stirs once more, driven by a single purpose, to awaken his son and make the world answer for what was taken from him.
