Is surgery the only option?

  1. Gallstone disease

You have:

A 9 x 8 mm gallstone.

A 4 × 4 mm stone in the cystic duct.

Thick gallbladder sludge.

Acute cholecystitis (inflamed gallbladder).

This is the cause of your gallbladder attacks.

  1. Tiny stones in the common bile duct (CBD)

Your MRCP shows tiny CBD stones (microliths).

These can temporarily block bile flow and may need ERCP if they don't pass.

  1. Mild enlargement of the spleen

  2. Chronic hepatitis B

So I have gallstones at 21

Hey guys, so it started a week ago, I experienced some pain in my upper right abdomen, since it wasn't something big I took dolo & the pain subsided in an hour, but this happened again after 2 days & this time I started noticing some pattern by thinking what did I eat, I thought high fat foods might be something that's triggering this, I confirmed this by claude then and it showed something to do with the liver/gallbladder & then the 3rd attack came and this time I was sure that this is definitely some serious issue being cause by high fat consumption and got an ultrasound done the next day as suggested by claude.

Ultrasound said that I have 3 stones, the largest being of 12mm.

I also have an enlarged liver & spleen each by 1 cm, which doesn't seem a big issue since I'm already losing weight since 3 months, I might be able to reserve these.

My height would be approx 6 ft and weight around 126kgs, I lost 15 kgs recently in the last 3 months (intentionally).

The few questions in my mind now are:

  1. What could have caused these stones to form, not the theory answer but something that feels relatable that yeah this might be the reason.

  2. Is surgery the only option now? If yes how safe is it?

  3. Any complications/precautions/big changes post surgery, not talking about the recovery period but in long term.

  4. Can I try TUDCA?

  5. Should I root for ayurveda?
