Nobody Does Spring Better Than We Do

Nothing like a gorgeous spring evening with flowers and trees blooming everywhere you go. Truly a feast for the senses (including runny noses from all the pollen)!

Free Pots!

Hey fellow gardeners! I've accumulated tons of plastic pots while hoarding plants to put in my front garden. Now that I'm finished (but are we *ever really finished?*), I would like to re-home them (the pots, not the plants!).

I need to give them to one person because my life is crazy at the moment trying to get ready for my husband's surgeries, etc. As expected, they are dirty, but in otherwise perfect shape. If you are willing to come by, load them up, and give them a home to new plant babies, I would be extremely grateful.

I live in the Sellwood-Morelands area. Please DM me if you want them. First come, first served!

I recently learned that I have verticillium wilt throughout my entire garden. I have been trying to deal with the numerous ramifications of that (including the emotional toll it has taken). But that's a topic for another day...

While dealing with that crisis, two presumed weeds are taking over my front garden:

Picture 1: this is in an area where I plant dahlias (there are also many other perennials nearby). It almost has a basil-like appearance.

Picture 2: this is everywhere in an area with many varieties of perennials such as nepeta (dwarf hybrids), achillea, lots of sages, verbena bonariensis "lollipop", peonies, etc. I thought it might be the nepeta because the leaves look very similar, but when I crush and smell them, they don't smell alike. (Besides, my hybrids are supposedly sterile.) Ditto for the other nearby plants.

I would be eternally grateful if you could tell me what these two demon-spawn are and how to eradicate them. Everything seems to be falling apart right now, so whatever help you can give is very much appreciated.

PS My finger is in the photos for size reference and so you can laugh at my chewed off nail!
