First rifle experience

After shooting my first rifle today, I am sure that I will get one.
Went to the range today and decided to try a rifle for the first time. I have been checking out .22 rifles online and they happened to have this Winchester. I've been eyeing the Wildcat but the one they had was this XPERT bolt action.
I loved it! I started with revolvers in May and now this experience was awesome. I will be getting a wildcat sporter someday soon.
I am considering getting a G3x so I can have a semi auto 9mm that can refire without racking the slide in order to dry fire practice with less hassle. Also, it will likely become my edc when I complete my concealed carry permit class and registration. I can pick one up locally for $199. Seems like a pretty decent deal, no?
I recently got into guns for the first time . I have never yet fired a rifle in my life . I did pick up a 22 revolver, and I love that thing . So I've been looking around at 22 rifles . I can pick up a TriStar kr22LR locally for $199 new. I've been looking at 10/22s and crickets and Rossi's and Savage Arms.. I don't know something about this one, other than just the price, appeals to me. Any thoughts??
I am 62 and I am new to guns. After renting a few at the range I decided to buy a 357 Magnum revolver in May as my first gun. I love it, but I don't love the cost of its ammo. So as a range substitute I also have now have purchased a 22 revolver. I also love it.
However, I have never in my life ever fired a rifle, and when I go to the range tomorrow I think that I want to try a Ruger 10/22 . If they don't have one of those, then I'll get something similar.
I think I know how to hold a rifle. I am right-handed and right eye dominant, but not sure where to put my cheek. I don't think the rifle will have any kind of scope or red dot. It's an indoor range so I'll just be shooting paper at a maximum limited to 45 feet, but if you have any advice for me to try, I'm listening.
I just got into guns this year for the first time. While trying to decide what I wanted, I went to a local range that is also a store. I was disappointed in the selection of rental guns, and so I'm trying to think of their logic.
They have one single 22 revolver, a single action Ruger Wrangler. No LCR or LCR+, No S&W 43c or 317, No Taurus, Charter Arms or anything else to rent.
I wanted to get my wife into shooting, but they didn't have a shield 380 EZ to rent.
I'm interested in a 22 Rifle but do you think they have a Ruger 10/22 to rent or even a Rossi RS22? Not a chance.
Sure you can rent a Staccato or a machine gun, but that seems niche.
If I owned a range that sold guns, I think I would stock the most popular guns in popular calibers. Wouldn't that lead to more sales or am I dumb?
Found this on eBay. Also works with Charter Arms Pathfinder II. amackanelly is the seller and also the manufacturer. The whole kit was $44 plus about $6 shipping. Love it!
Sorry for the typo misspelling Charter Arms in the video.
I painted the sights for both my Taurus 942 and my Taurus model 66. For me this is a great improvement. To the left of the guns you can see the white paint pen that I used first and then the orange paint that I finished these with.
These videos describe how I set up My Taurus 942 22 hellhar for dry fire setup and a little bit of practice video
I recently got a Taurus 942 22LR and was disappointed that SpeedBeez and most of the other manufacturers did not have a speedloader or loading block for it. 5 Star had a twist type one, but I really like the SpeedBeez platform.
Well, I found one on eBay that has the speedloader and two types of loading blocks available and about 1/2 the cost of the SpeedBeez.
I have no affiliation with this vendor and I have no dog in the fight other than I think other people with Taurus 942 (or Charter Arms Pathfinder II) would like it. It is a 3d printed version similar to the SpeedBeez. I will be getting one soon.
My new Taurus 942 3" 22 LR
I have been searching for a .22 so I can afford to go to the range and practice. They only had one .22 revolver, the Ruger Wrangler. Since I can rent more guns for the one price, I thought I'd try the Mark IV. While I liked the Mark IV better than most other semi autos, I still am way better with a revolver for some reason. So I've decided to get a Taurus 942 22LR 3" Stainless to practice with. It will be the little practice brother to my Taurus 66 .357 Magnum.
I want to get a 22LR revolver. I don't want the 22 Magnum.
I am liking the Taurus 942 and the Ruger LCR. The guntubers generally praise the Taurus.. and I'm debating about the Ultra Lite or not.. but the LCR is pricey right now and a little scarce. I can get a used one for about $480 but I can get a new Taurus for about $100 less. The main purpose is for plinking at the range.
I absolutely love my Taurus 66 SS4, but .38 special and especially .357 Magnum is expensive. The cost of ammo is my second reason.. and I want a small revolver for my wife to learn on. She tried a Shield 380 EZ but we decided we don't care for semi autos.
I've been trying to get this answer out of Amazon or Google AI and it misses every time. What I want to know is this: How far does the inserted part of these devices go into the barrel? From looking at the pictures of these devices, I can't determine if it is going to insert too far into the barrel of something like a Ruger LCR 22LR which has a slightly less than 2" barrel. My concern is that it would seat itself too far and interfere with the rotation of the chamber wheel.
I was at my range today and asked about small revolvers (mostly for my wife to use) but also that I could easily carry if I get my CCW permit. Anyhow, he showed me this pre Hilary hole S&W 317 Airlight for sale for $449. Is that fair? It seems like the gun was in decent shape, the timing looked good, it didn't rattle..etc ..
This is how I set up my revolver for dry fire laser training. I believe it will also work for 9mm semi auto, but I don't have one to try. As long as the bore laser doesn't interfere with the action, it would be ok.
This is a Taurus model 66 SS4 4" barrell 7 shot 357 Magnum
I have a Gortar laser bore site laser trainer and a strong tools target. Best $70 I ever spent. This is absolutely helping my aiming at the range.
