I’ve been playing through midnight suns going for 100% trophies and have been having a blast, but I am slightly concerned about how the dlc missions work within new game plus. Do unlocked characters and associated quests stick around? Or would I have to beat the game again in new game plus to re unlock all the extra missions?
Everything I saw about this game told me to stay away, but for some reason I thought having an old mcu tie in game would be fun to have in my list. Well, let’s hope it is. There’s nothing really redeemable about this game, it’s either too easy or too hard at all times with absolutely nothing in between, the controls are very hard to learn, but are honestly kind of fun once you get the hang of them there’s something there. I guess the best part of the game was the guy who did his best RDJ impression, he dropped a solid 9/10 voice performance. If you’re going for every/as many marvel trophies as you can, this one isn’t impossible or anything. If you’re just looking for a marvel plat (or any plat, for that matter) look elsewhere.
I feel like there are so many features missing from it that are basic ranked mode requirements in other games. For example: you can just not be given a fourth teammate, and the game punishes you equally for losing. It is also somewhat baffling to me that people under level 10 are allowed in. Most games have a restriction on playing ranked to avoid, y’know, dead weight, but half the time my friend and I would get a level 2 on our team who just straight up hasn’t played the game, and was genuinely useless. You could even counteract this by weighting individual performance in your score gain/loss if you don’t want to exclude anyone. I just think there are tiny changes they could make that would improve everyone’s experience (I highly doubt the solo queuing level 2s mean to end up in the mode.)
Maybe I’m just overthinking it. We were good enough that it didn’t really matter too much, and we got gold fairly easily anyways, but it’s just really frustrating at times playing a team ranked mode that doesn’t have basic protection features.
Also, I’m calling out this one guy in particular who was level 38 and so terrible that he didn’t once qualify through the entire game, and then actively tried to kill me and my friend (his teammates) on the kraken slam finale, only for us to win it for him anyways. Kinda unrelated to the post but I had to get it out somewhere. That guy needs to be perma’d.
