how do you find the time to read?

So this is a very stupid question .... and I know what the majority of the answers will be. and tbh idk what answer im looking for. But maybe there will be an answer that resonates with me by asking. getting a completely different perspective might change something. So here i am. with the stupid question.

How do you find the time to read?

maybe the better phrasing for my purpose is. how do you find the motivation to read?

but that also doesnt sound like the question i want to ask. Maybe its more like, "How do you prioritize reading to be more higher up on your list"

I am fortunate in that I have alot of time physically speaking. so time in and of itself isnt my issue.

i dont necessarily think its motivation being an issue as well. (maybe it is? Idk though).

but 1 thing thats for sure is that I can't seem to want to have "reading" being on the top of my "list of things i want to do".... and it sucks tbh.

maybe its because i have adhd??? i find myself jumping around on alot of things at once. (i.e. watching a motive/tv. after 10-30 min jumping on reddit. back to show. going on youtube. finding another topic im curious about, maybe cooking youtube video. looking at recipe. searching the difference between Birria and barbacoa. back to movie. movie mentions something interesting about bees. i look up facts about bees. remember i have a pathological fear of bugs and even looking at a picture of bugs sends a shiver down my spine. but hey, this bee looks kind of cute compared to a fat mosquito. well dam still a bug and looks freaky tho. back to movie. etc...)

but i do enjoy reading. and back when i was literally stuck with absolutely nothing to do, i often went to reading. whether a book, an article, a text about something interesting, etc. (i used to read light novels on my phone when i was in College while on the bus. also blitzed through harry potter series as the books came out, often times in 1 sitting).

i last started reading about 4 years ago. in that 4 years, i bought a kindle and finished book 1 of farseer trilogy. and about 40%ish finished on book 2.

but i cant get myself to spend the time dedicated to reading unless theres nothing else to do....

So im curious, other than those that are VERY engrossed in reading (because that would mean simply reading is on the top of your list. essentially the opposite problem im having) how do you find the time to want to read?

Leftover Consome' from Quesabirria tacos.

i have leftover broth and looking to make Ramen with it.

i dont have any of the meat left so im thinking of using Rib eye steaks.

Which way would you recommend would be the best way to go about here? im thinking 1 of several ways atm.

  1. Cook ribeye steak up like a normal steak. and lay it on top of the ramen
  2. Cook Steak rare. use the leftover broth to slowly cook the steak up to medium rare. lay it on top of the ramen
  3. us the broth as a marinade. leave it overnight. cook up ribeye steaks med rare. lay it on top of the ramen

i figure, since its ribeye, its tender enough. so i wont need to cook it for hours on low heat like i did with the original birria meat (used chuck roast).

How should I go about Quesabirria Ramen.

yesterday for dinner i made Quesabirria tacos. we ran out of meet but have alot of the broth leftover.

after thinking around, i decided to make ramen. looking it up to see some ideas, looks like Quesabirria Ramen is a pretty trendy thing. so that makes it easy for me.

the problem? they all use the original meat from the Quesabirria.

i know i dont HAVE to. but i want to add meat.

so im thinking of using Rib eye steaks.

so the question is, what would be the best way to go about here? im thinking 1 of several ways atm.

  1. Cook ribeye steak up like a normal steak. and lay it on top of the ramen

  2. Cook Steak rare. use the leftover broth to slowly cook the steak up to medium rare. lay it on top of the ramen

  3. us the broth as a marinade. leave it overnight. cook up ribeye steaks med rare. lay it on top of the ramen

i figure, since its ribeye, its tender enough. so i wont need to cook it for hours on low heat like i did with the original birria meat (used chuck roast).

confused on how servers work in this game??

The start of the game concept is confusing me. is this an MMORPG?

it sounds like you join a server (like among us for example) and hope no one quits in the middle of a game? which can lasts hours of gametime?

or is it like POE where its just 1 server with several instances?

Help request on best source for Black kings Indian defense

i have been playing on and off for a while just to pass time.

only play 2 openings. london as white and kings indian D as black.

I always hover around 1350-1400 elo (on lichess).

and the biggest issue is i cant climb past 1400 as black. i have like a 45% wr with it.

no matter what video i watch on youtube, kings indian just seems so complicated and alot of memorization.

is there a condensed easy to follow video for kings indian? I somehow always get into a mess.
