So anyways I got the RLCraft add-on and I'm actually having a lot of fun, having played vanilla Minecraft for years this is pretty refreshing

But the marketplace is just so full of SLOP, it's insane, I feel like I'm watching YouTube kids thumbnails

And there are other mods that look kinda fun but would probably get old really fast, I know we're centuries away from seeing something with the sheer content and quality of stuff like Thaumcraft or Blood Magic, but I know there CAN be good stuff, so do you guys know any?

I bought it on sale not too long ago, I've played other RPGs but never a CRPG before, I know I should expect a lot of numbers and in-depth character building, but just how much do I have to minmax?

Maybe it's because I don't often check the forums but it's kinda weird I haven't seen any IFs with this premise, specially with stuff like Squid Games or Fortnite being so relevant for the last 5 years or so

Only one that comes to mind is the Twelve Trials and even that feels more like a game show or tournament than anything else

I'll also take tournament IFs if you have any

So I got the Prototype Itch again so I wondered if any of y'all know any decent and active or finished Prototype fics? Give me any language I don't mind putting that bitch through DeepL just to have something to read

I'll leave my own list of recommendations but be warned many of these are old-old

Variant Strain by Scrivener (spiderman crossover) (No Prototype characters show up, it's marvel (mostly spiderman) characters getting reinterpreted in the Prototype world as Evolved or Infected) (finished)

Blacklight by Night (VtM crossover, you need an Ao3 account to read it for some reason, retelling of the first game but on WoD's New York and all that it entails) (finished)

Pretty much any fic written by Laluzi, I think she really has a good grasp on Mercer's character and can write him in many different situations with feeling out of character (some of these are dead)

Biomass Effect by BeastRider9 (mass Effect crossover) (Humanity ends up becoming a functional hive mind after all life on earth has been consumed by blacklight (they're surprisingly chill) and meet the other species of the milky way) (dead) (although it is pretty long, it ran for 64 chapters)

Viral Latency (MHA crossover) (Mercer wakes up centuries I'm the future to find the MHA world) (less action packed, Mercer just wants to chill and use his accumulated knowledge for something useful, but shit will soon hit the fan) (hasn't updated in little over a year, so it's ongoing by fanfic standards)

Consuming Direct Control (Mass effect crossover) (Mercer joins Shepherd's crew, and tagging along on their adventures) (officially dead but I consider it finished)

Evolution (inFAMOUS crossover) (it's a retelling of the first infamous game, but with Mercer showing up and interacting with Cole and the story) (finished with sequels)
