Anyone queuing up for the UPC in November?

I've never queued for a pokemon release every but I'm so keen to get my hands on one of the 30th UPCs as a gift for my wife that I'm seriously considering it. I'm self employed so getting time off isn't an issue, and I don't mind sitting in a que for a good while. But I would be absolutely devastated if I went through the trouble and still didn't manage to get one.

Are any of you guys planning on queuing up for it or Delta Reign? What stores are best? I've been told Smyths. And any tips or advice from anyone who has bothered to que for a release in the past?

Strength and Fitness need a rework

I've played a lot of zomboid, with almost all of my experience being in B42 and throughout all my runs there's a massive pet peeve I have. Strength and Fitness are almost impossible to level up, even on a long living character. Idk if I'm missing something, I'd love to hear that I am, but despite being "passive skills" no actions seem to passively contribute enough to either to actually give enough xp to reach higher levels. I've taken to often starting with the strong, stout and/or fit traits to give my fella a better chance of surviving long term, because boy does higher strength and fitness make a difference when taking on larger groups of zeds.

The quickest way to level up both seem to be exercise, but that means spending actual in game months, and many real life hours just lifting weights and squatting while speeding up the game, sitting down for a while and rinse and repeat. Even with the boost to gains from a high protein diet, it just takes too long to level up. Exercise really needs to have some sort of cumulative effect where if you consistently do an exercise every day for however long, you gain more and more xp.

Again, am I missing something? Or do they genuinely intend for high strength and fitness skills to be reached on only characters that live for multiple years? Because if that is the case, there needs to be more visible benefits spread throughout the level ups, like a bit of the bonus for each part way though the level, rather than all the benefit at once in the end. As well as more skills that level up slowly over time with tangible benefits. We also need more to keep the player interested in playing a longer life, like collectibles, special recipes, unique weapons/guns to find. Stuff that encourages exploring the whole map because right now it's too easy to get all the essentials to live essentially forever, which discourages further exploration.

It just doesn't seem like a good idea to have skills that are only possible to level up in insanely long lives when the late game is so unrewarding compared to the early and mid game. Am I playing wrong? Is there stuff I'm missing? Is this a non-issue to most of you and I'm in the minority here?
