Weekly releases are ruining one of the best things about OTT

I genuinely don't get why so many OTT platforms have gone back to weekly episode releases.

This made sense for TV daily soaps because episodes were still being written or adjusted based on ratings and audience feedback. But most streaming shows already have the entire season filmed, edited and ready to go. So why not just release all the episodes at once?

One of the biggest reasons I subscribed to OTT platforms in the first place was the freedom to binge watch. Finishing a great show over a weekend is a completely different experience from waiting 7 days between episodes.

Shows like The Boys, From and now Silo have all done this and it's honestly frustrating. Even Netflix, which practically built its brand around binge releases, has started experimenting with split seasons and weekly releases.

I get that there are business reasons behind it. Weekly releases keep a show trending for longer, generate more discussion on social media, reduce subscriber churn and bring people back to the app every week. From a platform's perspective, it makes perfect sense.

But as a viewer, it feels like we're losing one of the biggest advantages that streaming had over traditional television.

Am I the only one who still prefers getting the entire season on day one?

Online MBA from NMIMS for a working professional?

I'm a working professional with 4.5 years of experience in performance marketing. I'm thinking of joining an online MBA at NMIMS. The main objective is to have the MBA tag and explore other MBA Marketing career prospects. And I don't want to miss out on job opportunities that say 'MBA preferred/required'. I'm also aware that an online MBA is a tier-3 MBA. Has anyone completed an online MBA from NMIMS? How's placement support? How's peer quality? Also does your degree get an 'online' tag on it or not? Is it worth it?

Is online MBA useful for experienced digital marketers in India?

29M working in digital marketing agency as Senior Account Manager handling PPC-heavy projects across healthcare, education, real estate and e-commerce.

I manage combined monthly ad budgets around ₹70L–₹1Cr across Google and Meta ads along with client communication and strategy. Current CTC is ₹6.5 LPA.

I feel underpaid compared to responsibility level and want to move into larger companies/corporate roles in growth marketing or performance marketing.

I cannot afford expensive executive MBAs from IIM/ISB. Considering options like IGNOU MBA, NMIMS Online MBA or Symbiosis SCDL while continuing my job.

Wanted honest opinions from people in marketing/corporate hiring:

  1. Does an online/distance MBA actually help in salary growth for someone already experienced?

  2. Is MBA even necessary for performance marketing growth roles?

  3. Which affordable MBA has the best ROI/recognition?

  4. Should I focus more on switching companies instead of MBA?

  5. Realistically, what salary range should someone with my experience target?

Would appreciate practical advice from people already working in marketing or hiring.

Got a fake RTO/e-challan scam SMS today.

The link is fake and not a government domain. It tries to scare people into opening the site and possibly entering personal or payment details.

Please do NOT:

  1. click unknown challan links

  2. enter OTP/UPI/card details

  3. download APK/apps from such links

  4. Always verify challans only on the official Parivahan portal: https://echallan.parivahan.gov.in

I’ve reported the number as spam/phishing on Truecaller and to the cyber crime portal as well.

Stay safe.
