A Lore Excerpt from Eric, retelling a fateful day.

Eric’s Life Excerpt Story, 1st person POV from Eric retelling it:

November 22, 1963

Me and Fuuka are in Dallas, we arrived here on November 20 because I was at a meeting at Carswell Air Force Base within the metro area. Just to remember, me and my wife Fuuka are former Demon Slayers and being Demon-Human Hybrids we live for a while. I was a U.S. Army Colonel at the same time, I transferred to the U.S. Air Force in 1947, been working there ever since and being leader of the Non-Humans Division created in 1955.

Anyways back to the point, we decided to see the Honorable John Fitzgerald Kennedy ride through Dallas as he did fly in today. I’ve met JFK before, he talked to me about my division I command in the Air Force and things regarding Demons and Hybrids. He also talked to me about Civil Rights and my own experiences about it, especially my time during World War II. He’s a good man to talk to personally, Fuuka enjoyed talking to his wife Jackie too.

The motorcade was arriving soon, Shintetsudo, a brother of mine who works on railroads, allowed me and Fuuka to be on the triple underpass which carried the train tracks into Dallas Union Station. We waited for 15 minutes, a crowd was already present around Dealey Plaza. Fuuka was wearing her Yukata while I wore an Air Force light blue shirt with ribbons and ranks on it, my flight cap, and the blue pants. Shintetsudo was in his railroad work fit as usual.

Then the motorcade appears, the 3 of us hear the crowds cheer and welcome Kennedy as he makes his way onto Houston Street then turn onto Elm. Suddenly, a shot rang out, all 3 of us ducked but I saw Kennedy slouch forward. I see what appears to be a sniper glint on that Depository Building, 6th floor and at the corner of Elm and Houston. Considering there was a shooter, I had my revolver but of no use to shoot back. I did however have an old spyglass and used it to zoom in on the would be glint. Then, a second shot rang out that would be the one to end the President. I yelled “SNIPER!” Shintetsudo and my wife Fuuka were still ducked, Fuuka was holding onto her concealed Wakizashi within her Yukata. Through my spyglass, I saw the sniper that fired his shot with his bolt action rifle that would later be identified as the Carcano. I looked around where the Grassy Knoll and other spots and I did not see any other suspects. I then looked below, seeing the wounded governor, John Connally and John’s slumped body in that convertible 1961 Lincoln Limousine. Both of their wives, Jackie and Nellie, were rushing over distraught after their husbands were hit. I did see that one agent climb onto the back and try to render aid. I did not go across the tracks of the triple underpass I was on, fearing I’d by hit by a train like the Texas Special or Texas Chief from nearby Union Station.

The crowd was in dismay, everyone ducking and some pointing to a shooter in the depository or other spots. We decided to return back home for the safety of us, but I did become a witness. I talked to the Police later that day, Fuuka and Shintetsudo there too. During that time, that was when news rung out that Kennedy had passed. I got flashbacks to Lincoln’s, having been at the theatre too in 1865 after the Civil War ended and me being on off time from the Union Army. “Why again, what was his motive?” I asked to myself.

30 minutes later, news of J.D. Tippit’s slain in connection with the JFK one was heard. The 3 of us then heard one name: Lee Harvey Oswald.

3 days later, news comes on again as he was hit in the station by Jack Ruby, all 3 of us think it was revenge for the President.

This was one hell of a day, unfortunately not my last I will see in life.

P.S. I recently went to the JFK Museum in the Depository Building where Oswald was. Was one heck of a history tour, and here’s the images.

A reintroduction to this sub.

Hello. I was inactive for around a month due to issues that it’s my fault after (if you want to know just message me and I’ll truthfully tell) but after taking a break due to life and other things, I’m back. May be super active here again (respectfully with my curiosity in other’s OCs and willing to learn more).

Anyways…

I am Eric (online alias and not my irl name), I’m currently a teenager in high school and I have 3 OCs.

I like KNY, Vehicles like Trains and Planes, Military Stuff, History, Rockets, Lore Building, Guns, Weapons, Traveling, and other things.

I mainly don’t like anything problematic (I used to be ironically but yeah we all have our own issues) like bad people and things, eggs for food lol, and worthless arguments.

Here’s an info doc on my ocs if you want, questions fine to be asked!

That’s all I have, feel free to comment!

Oh No! Fuuka got hit accidentally by Eric’s Baseball when batting!

Not my art btw, got it from a new KNY OC friend on deviantart. Well Scarlet (fanart creator’s Demon Slayer OC) was tossing a baseball to Eric when he hits a foul ball… Aand Fuuka gets hit by it, but don’t worry as both are married for a long time and this didn’t anger her!

Suijin National Railroad SJNR E5 Shinkansen

Yes, this is an E5 Shinkansen Model in SJNR colors. It entered service in 2013 and a few features not seen but it has other than shown would be the addition of a gyralight and emergency light to the headlights. Not yet shown would be a dome car added to the trainset.

P.S. some people called it a KLM Shinkansen LOL (will admit I didn’t realize how similar it is to the livery of the Netherlands Flag Carrier: KLM Royal Dutch Airlines)

A Railroad I Made for Suijintochi, the kingdom Eric's mom rules over: Suijin National (SJNR)

Well, I decided it is time to make the fictional railroad I have yet to make. So here it is.

Suijin National Railroad, AAR Reporting Mark: SJNR

Founded: 1845

Track gauge: Standard Gauge, 4ft 8 1/2 Inches, 1435mm

This railroad was founded in 1845 with the first rail line being made between Suishihon (Suijintochi Capital) to Koraru. It was a 40 mile line from west to east, and standard gauge was used after evaluating other railroads. There was more of the lines to the built, the original line to Koraru forming part of the principal mainline of SJNR, the Kantaiheiyo Mainline from Tokyo to Los Angeles via Suishihon. The final part of the Kantaiheiyo (means Trans-Pacific) was completed in 1893 to serve the then Southern Pacific Arcade Depot back then, later both Central and La Grande, and finally LA Union Station in 1939.

Operations were suspended and stayed in Suijintochi during WW2 before the US to Japan link reopened after the war ended. Although air travel and cars did increase, there was still demand for trains. With word from mainland Japan about the Shinkansen Project and since Suijintochi is just an Autonomous Region of Japan (full name: Japanese Special Autonomous Underwater Kingdom of Suijintochi), it was decided to build a Tokyo to LA Shinkansen route called the Kantaiheiyo Shinkansen. Interestingly this new line was to be built in the middle of the old Kantaiheiyo Main Line but with very few switches that would only be used for the Hikari-like services that would stop at stations and the all stop local Shinkansens. This increased the number of tracks from the old 4 tracks to 6 tracks. The Shinkansen line however would have to make a straighter and smoother ride through an underwater mountain pass, so the line flew over the old mainline and mostly used bridges and tunnels to make its way through the mountains compared to the old line. The Kantaiheiyo Shinkansen opened in 1965 and was a popular hit, though a little less than that of the Tokaido Shinkansen.

More Shinkansen Lines would be built over the years, some are newly dedicated high speed routes or ones that were built like the Kantaiheiyo, to the side of or the middle of the old Main Line and only separate when needed as well has having limited switches to allow the limited stop and local Shinkansens to switch onto the old mainline for station stops. And since the old mainline lines do have grade crossings, all the Shinkansen dedicated tracks will do smooth overpasses with at least 22ft clearance on these crossings most of the time, though in rare cases there are underpasses as well.

The rolling stock and locomotives is an interesting mix of Japanese Builds, American Builds, and even some European or Homemade builds. For example, you have a JNR Class C62 like 4-6-4 Hudson operated by SJNR and at the same time they use an ALCo or Lima Built 4-6-4 from the U.S. For Diesels, they can operate a Japanese made DE10 yet at the same time use the American Built fan favorite EMD SD40-2. This isn’t limited to electrics either, you have a Japanese EF58 and an American GE/Altoona GG1 operating on the same railroad as well! Rolling stock is a mix of Japanese and American freight cars, with double stack intermodal well cars used too (The railroad increased their height clearance to 22ft in the 1960s for tunnels and bridges by coincidence)! Passenger cars can range from Japanese built cars to American Heavyweights and Streamlined passenger cars too and Dome Cars! A few home made rolling stock in use too. Yes, most of the Shinkansens on Suijin National do have Aerodynamic Dome Cars to allow scenic scenes when riding at high speed.

For the Equipment, some things stand out. This railroad does use Mars Lights and Gyralights on most of their equipment (including Emergency Lights that turn on if wanted or when a train applies emergency brakes), even the Shinkansens have it too! All locomotives have bells as well as the Shinkansens, and there is a good mix of Japanese and American Horns for all locomotives. The most used American Horn for SJNR is the “King of All Train Horns” Leslie RS5T-RRO with other common horns being the Nathan P5, Leslie RS3L, Nathan P3, and others. However a decent amount of Japanese horns exist too like those on the Shinkansen and others (yes the Shinkansens do sport American Horns depending on the set too lol). Sometimes, Suijintochi itself decides to just mix the Japanese and American Horns into mixed cast horns lmao. Onto other equipment, the diesels do have a good mix of stuff on them from Locotrol Equipment, AC boxes, Rotating Beacons and Strobes, All Weather Cab Windows, and Bells that can be mounted either on the long hood, inside the hood of the front or back, and even on the roof. Bells wise, it can be Steel, Bronze, or even E-Bells.

Final note, a decent ton of steamers from SJNR are preserved, some even restored to run excursions! SJNR does have its own Heritage Fleet of old cars and historical locomotives for use!
