10 weeks old showing signs of rolling?

Hello, my baby is 10 weeks old and started to show signs of rolling? She would pull up her legs and hips whenever she’s on her back and even trying to roll to one side while doing this. This was quite sudden for us. We know we have to stop swaddling soon but she CANNOT stay asleep with her arms out. We tried it with naps and her hands would keep whacking herself in the face and waking her up. We are still doing shifts at night so someone is always watching her in the swaddle. How soon did your baby start to roll after they started to kick up their legs and hips? Days? Weeks? She also HATES/tries to break free from the swaddle every time but it’s the only way she can stay soundly asleep. We tried the one arm out but she would just break free. Additionally, her neck is still not that strong yet but I don’t know if you need strong neck muscles to roll? Love to hear from your experiences!

Confused about wake windows

My baby is 9 weeks old. Bedtime is around 8:00 to 8:30 pm and she would generally wake up for the day around 6 am. Sometimes it’s really hard to put her down for the night even though she is clearly very very tired. She has decent naps throughout the day but we don’t always keep her awake after every feed as we follow her cues. So we’ll diaper change, feed, and rock her back to sleep if she seems especially sleepy (takes about 40 mins altogether). Should we be keeping her up after every feed doing activities for at least an hour to 1.5 hours to build sleep pressure for bedtime? She gets fussy fast sometimes so we’re not sure if she’s tired or she’s bored of the activity. Even when she gets tired, she has trouble closing her eyes so it’s hard to tell. And she gets stimulated easily. Thank you in advance.

We have an 8-week old born at 37 weeks. She’s just about 12 pounds today. Pediatrician said to feed her every 3 hours until she reaches 12 pounds (we have the appointment coming up in a few days). The past few nights, when we woke her up every 3 hours, she will drink 3 ounces easily even though she’s sleepy. However, during the day, she will only drink a little bit like 1 ounce or less at a time and we have to keep offering the bottle repeatedly every couple of minutes until she gets to 2 ounces (that’s how much she’s been drinking or more). We feed her every 2-3 hours during the daytime. Sometimes even after a 3 hour nap, she will even reject the bottle completely without sucking but does not cry after. She simply will reject by using her tongue to flick the bottle out or uses her hand to push the bottle away. Is this feeding aversion? Is she just not hungry during the day because she eats so much at night? She is formula fed and the temperature of the milk is pretty consistent. Anyone else experienced something similar?

Hi all, I know 8 weeks is still too young to sleep train but we were wondering if there’s anything we can tweak in our nighttime routine for our LO to help her sleep longer at night. She is about 12 pounds.

She has her circadian rhythm figured out and naturally gets very sleepy at 8:30-9pm so this is her bedtime. She’ll sleep to 12 am where my husband does a dream feed and she takes in her usual amount but then she’ll wake up at 1:45 am again fussy so we feed her and she takes in her usual amount again. She’ll wake up around 5 am for her day. We use swaddle, blackout curtains, and white noise. She’ll usually only contact nap during the daytime but sleeps in her crib fine at night.

She also has a very long wake window anywhere from 5 pm-7pm usually depending when she wakes up last. We’ll try to squeeze in a small final nap here before she goes down for the night. We have tried a 7pm bedtime before but she wakes up at 8-8:30 pm regardless looking for food. Should we eliminate the last nap of the day before bedtime to help her sleep longer?

Looking for tips and thank you in advance!

Hi all, my newborn was born at 6 pounds at 37 weeks and is currently 7 weeks old at about 11 pounds now. Our pediatrician advised us from the beginning to keep feeding every 3 hours until she hit 12 pounds (most likely in the next week or so). First time mom here but I assumed we can just let baby sleep when they reached birth weight? I couldn’t find much information online about this 12 pound magic number. We noticed sometimes when we wake her up to feed, she’s not that hungry and will only take 1 ounce. Is it safe to let her keep sleeping at night until she cries for food?
