Hammock suspension

Facilitated by Charlyne864 of The Occult Therapy (photo credits also go to her)! This was my second suspension and it went incredibly smoothly. The knee hooks stung through the entire suspension, which took away some of the serenity, but it was still an incredible experience.

A bit too late for the summer solstice but the vibe was there.

Edit: guys, this is a body mod subreddit, please don't send me Reddit care nonsense! 🤣

Minimalism? I don't know her

Added a few more charms and colour to this ear for summer. Probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I love looking like I fell into a jewellery box.

Adding charms etc is also a nice alternative when you feel that piercing urge but are already healing several piercings (in my other ear, in this case).

Scarification 3-4 months update

Thought this was useful to illustrate how differently scars can behave during the healing process. The scars on the side with the birds are 3 months old, the ones on the snake side are 4 months old at this point. Bonus 2.5 year old scars on the final slide for comparison.

The bird-side scars are WAY more raised than the other side (which is unrelated to the age difference, the snake-side scars were never that raised). This is despite working with the same artist, same stencil, it being on the same body part, and doing (to the best of my abilities) the same aftercare. I'm not surprised or bothered by this, but I thought it'd be useful to see!

Also, the raised scar is itchy and quite tight at times! Again, not something that surprised me, as I had the same experience with my older chest scars. But it's something to keep in mind if you're interested in scarification, especially longer lines on a very mobile body part.

Edit: I should probably add that the 2.5 year old scar was without skin peeling, these newer ones were with skin peeling.

I don't know how people in tropical climates do this

Just a rant. I live in a temperate region and we get the occasional humid heatwave, but I usually stay inside and can manage quite well. Two weeks ago I was travelling and couldn't really avoid facing the weather, 35+ degrees celcius with near 90% humidity. My two actively healing piercings and one almost fully healed piercing got so pissed off. Now that I've been back to my normal climate they're perfectly happy again.

However, I'm travelling to another region with 100% humidity soon, yay.

People that have to deal with this kind of climate all the time, any tips?

Hi everyone, a bit of a different post than usual. If stuff like this isn't allowed, feel free to remove.

On August 15 (the week after BMXnet) there's a big show by Louis Fleischauer and co in Berlin, XXX AMF. It's a body art and music performance and will include suspension, hook pulls, etc.

I was planning on going alone, as I don't know anyone IRL who is as into this stuff as I am, but I figured I'd ask here if anyone else is going, or has their interest piqued by this post (although it's still quite far away, I know). Maybe we could meet up?

I also planned my second suspension on the day before, it'll be a hammock suspension and I'm very excited for it!
