Update on my tongue split
I'll add my notes as a comment since it's too long :3

Absolutely obsessed with how this one came out. Can't wait to see how it settles 🤩
Grey from Good Life in Akron, OH did this set. They wanted to see realistically how fast they could pierce for a potential world record.
I tried to keep a photo diary of my tongue's healing process. I'm super happy with how things went! :)
did my first ever body suspension on sunday with Wasteland Suspensions and it was one of the best things i’ve ever done! <33
I’m in the Bay Area, CA and I would like to get a scar; but I don’t know where to look. I contacted a shop called Body Mods, but they don’t do scars and they recommended people who don’t seem to have a set location. I’d be willing to travel if it seems worthwhile!
trying to figure out
Hi all! Would love to have some input from anyone who got a coinslot mod in their ear cartilage. How much did you pay, what year, and where in the world (roughly) did you get it?
I don't think it's in the cards for me right now, but I'd definitely like to get one eventually! Would love to hear about your experiences healing and whatnot as well. I'll definitely go to a reputable provider, so no worries there!
I plan to get either a coin slot or a tongue split within the next 3 months. The artist sets their own prices and doesn't have to split their pay with a studio owner or anything. In these situations do you still tip 20-30% or do you assume they chose their bodymod fee to account for not expecting tips? I'm not chinchy or trying to avoid tipping at all, just curious
I’ve been wanting a split since I was a kid and might be able to finally get one in the nearish future. I’ve done a lot or research about what to expect with healing, how the procedure is done etc but I’m not sure how to go about finding someone who will do it, and what price range I should expect from someone reputable (I live in Colorado). I want to find someone who isn’t too pricey, but have no idea how low is too low, whats a suspiciously low price?
I also would like to know more about how the healing process is socially, considering most say it took a couple months so loose the lisp. What is it like going back to work and such after the initial healing period?
Edit: I feel like I worded this wrong. I’m NOT saying I want to find the cheapest person. I’m asking what price should be a red flag? When considering prices of different options I want to know where the line between a reasonable price and being too low to not be sketchy falls.
(Just showing off) Split is roughly 80 hours old now. No pain, mild tingling. It's looking rough, though.
Unsure what dental clinics are okay with doing the composite bonding fangs as i haven't been able to find any so far!!! i know private dentists are best to go to but i feel weird and very awkward asking clinics within the area, i've been waiting years to get these and unfortunately everyone i slightly know here doesn't want to give out where they went!? plsss recommend any clinics that do it!!!
Hi all,
Next week, I’ll be traveling within Europe to have my tongue split.
I’ve got squeezy bottles and electrolytes, anti inflammatories ready. Is there anything else i need to bring with me?
Towels for drool? Bring my own soups / broths? Any advice would be amazing!
queer tattoos slam, even if this hurt like a mf in some areas. done at midtown tattoo los angeles
Facilitated by Charlyne864 of The Occult Therapy (photo credits also go to her)! This was my second suspension and it went incredibly smoothly. The knee hooks stung through the entire suspension, which took away some of the serenity, but it was still an incredible experience.
A bit too late for the summer solstice but the vibe was there.
Edit: guys, this is a body mod subreddit, please don't send me Reddit care nonsense! 🤣
Done by me on a friend. She healed super hypertrophic, but must of it (except the center) eventually flattened out!
i've wanted permanent fangs my entire life, and i'm just now looking into the possible options. my main question/worry is, to put it bluntly; i bite my partner intimately, and HARD. i want to know if permanent fangs would be stressed or break under conditions like that. i see a lot of people say you need to be gentle when eating things like apples or hard candy. is there a certain option that would have less worry of breaking? or are my dreams just crushed.
Hi, my artist told me to keep stitches in for 10 days. Im on day 5 and my mobility is obviously greatly reduced by the stitches
What kind if food works? I tried watered down mash potato, but since i cant move my tongue it was just goop
Any recs? Today feels even better than yesterday, barely any swelling
