Anyone noticed the strong piss smell near the elevator on the platform level at the Wheaton station? The smell is also near the stairs leading from the parking lot to Amherst Ave. Who do I reach out to regarding this smell to request a cleanup?

Hey guys, Im moving to Wheaton next week and will be living at the Encore apartments. Just for context, I don't have a car.
What are some good, fun things to do within walking distance? I visited the mall while I was there and it seemed fine, but I have seen some people online saying it can be a bit sketchy. Is that overblown, or something to keep in mind?
I really like walking trails, but Google Maps makes it look like there aren't any right by my building (Encore apartments). Does anyone know of any hidden paths, neighborhood cut-throughs, or good walking routes nearby that I might be missing? Are these safe?
also speaking of safety, any general safety tips for the area? Places to avoid, and on the flip side, any absolute must-visit spots or things to do? Appreciate any advice you guys can share! I'll be living here for the next 2.5 years and would love to get more information!
