A while ago (maybe 2 months?), they said they would update OML/SK events so we're not forced to build old teams. They said they would do the same for Nova/GGC/BC events which require teams like Rebirth, X-Factor etc, which new players shouldnt be building up.
But since then, nothing changed. And now we "need" GGC for the tower 25th floor. Did they forget about this?
Assuming a player is a whale and can clear all 20 tower milestones.
He buys 3x passes. 84k cores. Obviously, this is a lot of cores but a lot of whales have it aince they buy all kind of offers (theres often a 1500 power cores offer like 30 UC). If you buy all good power cores offers it would probably cost around 2000 UC to get 84k cores, over time.
Reward: a whooping 10 200 UC (equivalent to 1020$ USD) + 6x 5D pulls + easy top 100 or so for the coming Leaderboard, assuming spending power cores give points like they usually do.
So yeah this is a big thing for whales.
(but probably not worth it if you havent completed the last 3 floors of the tower).
Was anyone able to beat this on hard? what team did you use? im trying full I6, G20/3 or 4D and they get slaughtered....
All these towers events basically require you to:
Build all the most recent teams;
AND build some random outdated teams (sinister 6/GG classic, hive mind, immortal x men, kahhori etc).
Maybe its not so bad if you're a day 1 player because you built this stuff over time. But for newer players, it makes no sense to build these old toons, its just not worth it. So that means we are essentially blocked from completing the towers.
I dont expect content to be easy. But it shouldnt force us to spend resources on outdated toons.
They could simply loosen the criterias to allow more teams to complete the floors.

Mutant: 9

Bio: 18!!!
And this doesnt include recent special characters that are guess what..also Bio (Maestro, BM, Sentry...)

Previous DR were rewarding 10 orbs of X Men diamonds. We now got 5...
We get 96 energy a day. We need a minimum of 100 energy to clear our lane (no wipes/restarts).
So, we will need to use a recharge every 2 days or so.
Is it intended Scopely? Do you plan to make raid energy more accessible? or is it just bad maths...?

I got 111k points, currently rank 4200 or so.
Since we have no war today, can we at least get the full raid warzone points so we are not penalized for this? thanks.
Its a 6 weeks event.
We get max 6 points per week (6×6 = 36).
We get max 16 season points.
Grand total = 52 points
Yet theres objectives until 80 points.
Unless they add more objectives along the way, this is gonna be impossible to get all rewards.
Make town portal impossible to interrupt in Helltides (annoying to get ganked just when finishing to cast)
Increase pickup range of progress orbs in Pit (too much backtracking)
Blacksmith at Boss Lairs (too much stuff on floor)
Add the option for pet to auto pick boss mats (Distilled Fear etc) and prisms
Add the option for pet to auto-salvage stuff (like in D3)
Option to cube all boss mats (Distilled Fear etc) at once
"Sell all" button at blacksmith
"Max" button at obols vendor (fills inventory)
Give back the "bubble" at end of Pits
Kurast altars should auto activate when near instead of clicking
Improve chat channels (invite someone directly from chat, like in WoW/D3)
Stack multiple Tree rewards (so you dont have to portal back to town during a Helltides)
Post any other you have! (purely QoL not game balancing)
This event should be aimed at newer players who dont have Sentry 7* yet.
Most endgame players already have 7* Sentry (I do). Why is this event marked as "endgame"?
It's a catchup event. Sentry is an old character. It should be *relatively* easy to get him 7*. Not way harder than those who got him through BW, much earlier.
Right now, the only comp that works requires Carnage. Why forcing players to build a toon of a 2+ years old team...?
This Carnage strategy takes 20+ minutes of our time to do. I truly hope this gets fixed because nobody wants to waste 20+ minutes every time this event comes back!
Sentry should be unlockable with either of the 3 new teams (SC, Exalted X Men, Sym6).
The top players in my arena all have this defense (with either Toxin or Riot). Ive tried many comps and cannot beat them unless mirror team which is very RNG dependant.
Anyone has a reliable counter for this?
I dont have Annihilus obviously
Besides the potential rework, which new characters do you think will be added to this team?
1st one was 1 core (for me at least, not sure if it was a bug)
And it doesnt seem they got any consequence...
What baffles me is that there's no official announcement about this? Its pretty huge and Scopely should at least acknowledge the situation and inform us what steps they are taking.
Missions locked for weird reasons.
Teams we built specifically for Battleworld are not performing well against Maestro (DW, Retcon). Heck, Insidious 6 which is a non-BW team did better!
Rewards are plain horrible. I woulda preferred another Sentry BW at this point...and i have Sentry at 7*.
