What wall colour to go with the built in fireplace?

Bought a house, can't afford to do anything drastic about this big built in fireplace so I painted the wood to match the tiles(swipe for before colour, pale grey). Window surround was a really dated orangey brown so painted that white and really happy with how the window blends in now.

Previous owners were obviously big fans of Millennial Grey. We painted a squiggle on the wall when we moved in just to distance us from the grey but now I'm ready to paint.

It's two rooms knocked together with an arch, a living room and dining room. Going for cosy vibes and main priority is not making the fireplace stick out like a sore thumb. sofa and curtains are cream and so is the carpet.

Thoughts so far are deep sandy colour(couple of shades lighter than the fireplace). Partner not too keen on more cream.

I was wondering if there's a particular shade of light brown that would warm up the room without feeling overwhelming.

TIA for any suggestions.

Bonus points for any suggestions on how to cover up the ugly gold plume on the fireplace. Have tried prying it off and it's really on there.

Great mood just before a migraine

Whenever I get hyperactive and start making up silly songs, my husband gets me to check in to see if there's a migraine on the way. I don't get this before every migraine but before the worst ones, boy am I in high spirits until I hit the wall.

Anyone else gets this?

Hi everyone

I bought this stretch rhinestoned velour. I have a preference for sewing stretch fabric so I'm not worried about that part but the rhinestones are another story.

Has anyone got any previous experience of sewing something like this?

I'm hoping to make a Juicy Couture-style tracksuit and my preference would be to sew it on the machine but I'm not averse to hand sewing if that's the only way.

I have plenty of excess fabric so could do some tests if anyone has suggestions of how I could remove the stones along the seams before sewing?

Thanks for your help!

Update 1: just tried to melt the rhinestone glue with a hairdryer and remove with a tweezer. Took about 30 seconds for a single stone. Oh boy.

Update 2: rhinestones nearly impossible to remove. Certainly not at a pace that would be considered feasible. Don't need this tracksuit to November so handsewing it is!! Did try a very slow wide zigzag on the machine but it was two inches before a needle broke so I think this is the best way. Don't mind handsewing so gonna sew it zigzag backstitch. Wish me luck!
