I'm making a stock market sim where bad trades literally give you a panic attack or depression.

Hey everyone. I love management and economy games, but I wanted to add real stakes to day-trading.

In Neo Capitalist, you are managing a portfolio, but you also have to manage your hunger, stress, and mental health. If things go wrong, you might have a panic attack, become depressed, or pass out.

For a realistic stock market experience, you can play in stable mode, or enter a cyberpunk universe with feel mode. In feel mode, the realistic trading terminal starts glitching into a cyberpunk dystopia.

I just put together this new trailer to explain the mechanics. Do you guys enjoy high-stress management games, or do you prefer the classic relaxing tycoon experience?

If you want to check out the UI details, here is the Steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4580690/Neo_Capitalist__Stock_Market_Survival_Simulator/

Destroy my new trailer! It's a stock market survival roguelite where you can manipulate the system. Also you can enter a Cyberpunk (feel) mode.

I'm making a stock market survival game where bad trades don't just lose you money, they drain your mental health. Just finished the terminal-style Main Menu!

Hey everyone! I'm the solo dev behind Neo Capitalist, built entirely in Godot.

The core idea was to take the intense stress of day-trading and turn it into an actual survival roguelite. You have to trade to pay your weekly taxes and afford food, but market crashes literally ruin your mental health stats (Stress, Hunger, Happiness). If you go bankrupt or your stats hit zero, it's game over.

I wanted the UI to feel like an authentic, high-stakes trading terminal.

The core mechanics and gameplay loop are now fully finished! But to make the experience even more engaging, I'm working on a wild alternative visual mode for players who want a darker, more atmospheric vibe rather than a clean simulation. What do you guys think of adding alernative visual modes to a game like this?

If you want to test the game, the 16-day Pre-Alpha browser demo is currently live here:

And if you like the concept, a wishlist helps immensely:
