Strange MX Master bug

A neighbor gave me this neat mouse for free he had that couldn't be fixed he dubbed as "Cursed". He left me a link to the problems he described here:

How these issues occur for me is a bit different, even when its receiver is unplugged and another mouse is added, its effects are still present on every computer its plugged into for about half a day or so. Sometimes the gliding is normal but I can't click 80% of things.

Meaning whatever mouse is plugged in after is also affected for that duration. I wouldn't know if there is anyway to fix this? updating it does nothing to help.

Holy cow is it loud too! It automatically turns up my volume to its max setting when I go by a video I didn't even click on, I have to keep it disabled when I scroll.

It's been around for so long and the new settings failed to ever do anything, so many bugs with this website the longer and longer I stay on it but this one is too much for me.
