Bank job credit check — worried

I was offered a job as a credit analyst role at a bank and in going through the offer info, I learned they will run a credit check. Offer can be rescinded based in results.

I pulled my credit and score is around 620. No bankruptcy, liens, or judgments. However, I have one medical collection around $1,000 that I didn't know about. I’m paying it tomorrow, plus I have some 60 day past late payments on my auto loan.

Has anyone been hired by a bank with similar credit issues? Did they ask for an explanation, or was it an automatic disqualifier?

Submitted my graduation application Sunday and got the confetti today. 🎉

Such a strange feeling: relief, pride, and a little sadness now that it’s actually over.

Thank you to this subreddit… it truly was a lifeline throughout this journey.

Congrats to everyone who’s graduated, and good luck to those still on the path...you’ve got this!

Okay I’m starting to panic a little and just need to vent. Every submission I’ve ever turned in has come back within 24 hours (sometimes hours). Like clockwork. So of course the one time I’m actually on a time crunch… it’s been over 48 hours and my Task 1 is still just sitting there in queue.

Now it’s looking like it might take the full 3 days, and I’m running out of time to finish Task 2. That’s what’s really stressing me out. I hate how the Capstone is structured -- having Task 2 locked until Task 1 is approved I get. But I should at least be able to complete the simulation while I wait. I already finished Task 3, so now I’m just stuck waiting when I could be getting things done. I get they’re busy but it just feels kind of unfair when the timing isn’t consistent. i feel like Capstones which are the final product of a degree should be prioritized.

Has this happened to anyone else? Did yours end up coming back sooner, or did it actually take the full 3 days?
