Stick with the Conti DWS 06+, or switch to Michellien Pilot Sport 4

Yesterday I almost ate shit in the rain on I-40. I spun out at moderste speed. I somehow managed to not wrap anyone else up in it and stopped before I hit the barrier. Got going straight again but once I got back on the highway my back end was breaking loose well under the speed limit. When I got home I found that at least one tire was down to the D on the DWS.

So today Im buying a new set of tires. Ive been running the Conti's since I had my '17 Si. Ive had Michellins before on other vehicles and ive really liked them outside of the price. Im not seeing the Michellins cheaper than the Contis anywhere. For folks who have run both which did you prefer? Here in Central NC wet weather handling is a high priority. Which of the two did you find did better in the rain? Thanks

Definitely looks better with the black H marks.

Today I discovered that the guy who owned this car before me was a poser who put type R badges on the front. The front badge was held on by globs of plumbers caulk on the pegs. This explains why the Si grill emblem was missing too

2026 civic si stock clutch + phearablr 1.5r map 3 + tail of the dragon

Ive figured out what I want to do with this car, and that is build it out for Wake the Dragon next year. Im going to build however much I can between now and then, and that'll be dependent on what I can afford as I go along. So Im thinking about a priority list.

Ive got the tires upgraded to 18 x 9.5 conti DWS 06+, got a moshimoto intake that should be delivered tomorrow. In a few weeks Ill order a ktuner flash with phearable 1.5r.

So where do I put the money after that? Im a little worried about how the clutch is going to hold up with 245 HP on the dragon. Im going to be asking for alot of low rpm power coming out of the curves. I do not want to have this thing loaded on a flat bed and driven back across the state because I fried my clutch.

What's the group think about this being a necessary upgrade? If I dont do the clutch Ill probably put some coilovers on it. As far as the clutch is concerned Ill be getting either a Clutch Master FX100 or an Exedy stage 1. I know the go to recommendation is an RV6 retro. I put one on my 10th gen and it worked great. The only reason I went with it though was to get rid of the dual mass flywheel. The 11th gen already has a solid light flywheel, so thats about $500 I can put into something else

Is a CAI on an 11th gen Si really necessary with the stock turbo?

Im thinking about picking up a Ktuner from Phearable. Outside of a shift knob and rims Ive done nothing to thia car. Am I going to see any benefit from a CAI without a bigger turbo besides the sound? Thanks

Trumps Truth Social Early Access Subscription for Investment Firms

So it looks like Trump has hard launched a subscription service for about $100k a month that gives early access to his posts that'll move markets. Since these firms will be trading on non-public information that no one else has, isnt this just insider trading. What's the difference between this and trading on insider information that a companies executive has offered to sell to you?

Anyone heard of a verification company called Berkeley?

I got a call from a company saying I have a claimed filed against me. They claim to be a verification service for lawyers called Berkeley. Googling their name and phone number brings up nothing at all. Im trying to figure out if this is legit or if its someone trying to scam me. Has anyone heard of these folks? Thanks

My girlfriend and I have no plans to get married, but we do want to combine our finances. The sticky part to that would be a breakup and how to make sure neither side gets screwed over. Theres only one major asset, a house , that we would both have our names on. What sort of agreement do folks usually come to to protect themselves in a situation like that? Im not asking what we should do, just what options there are to consider

At the end of last February I traded in a '17 Civic Si for a '26 Civic Si from a large Honda dealership in NC. Something happened with the dealership sending the payoff for the '17 to the wrong bank and they couldnt get the title registered for the '26 over it for some reason.

I found out about this when the DMV sent me a letter saying they were going to revoke the tags I had transferred over for lack of insurance about 3 weeks ago The bank called me asking for the title last week. Thats has graduated to a letter from their repo division demanding the title this week.

The dealership has been punting me off with promises of having it taken care of in a few days, then another, then another week. The title clerk wont answer or return my calls or the banks. I got passed from one person to the next til I was put in this one guys lap who I feel is just running interference. What do I do here? Is it unreasonable to expect this to have been fixed in three weeks from finding out about it, two months after the purchase? Do I turn this car in? Do I need to sue the dealership? Any insight you could give me would be greatly appreciated
