Just saw the mail for MongoDB subreddit.
MongoDB was my first DB when I started learning programming. Everything I have built till now is using MongoDB. The DX of MongoDB is so good, I don't want to move to sql.
Also, it's very easy and cheap to deploy cloud instances of MongoDB. The free tier covers most of my applications tasks.
So, grateful. And now seeing that it has a dedicated subreddit makes it even more great. Thanks!
Am I rare?
I just saw a post on X. All the comments of that post were filled with the same thing. No one has written a semicolon for a very long time. Meanwhile I'm writing it almost every day. What's wrong with this? Are all of Devs doing vibe coding?
I also use AI but with boiler plate code. For very sensitive business logic I prefer to write on my own. So, a lot of the time I write semicolons.
Let me know when you typed a semicolon on your own.
I'm taking break from building products
I'm taking break from building products.
Reasons:
It is not possible for me to manage building products along with clg, exams, studies, and jobs.
I will graduate in 8 months. And the job currently I have is good as a Student but needs a better one before I graduate.
I have to prepare for getting a better job.
Building products didn't work out for me yet(In terms of earning from them)
So, from now onwards I will focus more on getting better at software and interviews (DSA/Dev).
No regrets at all. It's just a part of life. Once a few reasons get resolved I will start with building again.
I'm building a tool where you can create any social Layout Chat Conversation videos just by giving your conversation script.
Demo of how chat conversation videos will look like
I'm building a tool where you can create any social Layout Chat Conversation videos just by giving your conversation script.
The goal of building this:
> Chat Conversation Videos are very engaging
> with my tool creating videos like this will only take few seconds
> I will post them on every social media platform to build another distribution channel
> use case: Storytelling marketing product launched product hypes content creation
> It will have much better pricing than rest of the similar tools.
> Extra online visibility with very less time in input
This is an experiment. Let's see how it goes.
I build a tool which saved my 100+ minutes in last 30 days.
I got to know that using gradient images behind screenshots while posting makes it more appealing. So, I started using Canva for adding the gradient color behind my screenshots I use to post on X.
It was taking around 4-5 minutes to open Canva, choose between all the options/buttons, add gradient color then manually setting my screenshot on top of that background color then exporting it. It was very exhausting to use Canva for this repetitive task.
Later I got to know that people don't go to Canva for this simple and repetitive task. Instead, they use dedicated tools just for this task. Using these tools was much better than using Canva. I was saving time. Canva was taking 4-5 mins, shifting to these tools reduced the time to 1-2 mins.
But still there were some issues using these dedicated tools:
- Watermark
- Expensive paid tier to remove watermark.
- Too many unwanted features. Complex and heavy customization options.
- Can't use them on mobile screen size. Because mobiles can't display all that complex UI in a user friendly way. And most of the time I take screenshots from my mobile and post from my mobile.
TBH adding a gradient background behind images is a very unproductive thing. And it should take at least time as possible. So, there was a need for tools which will be cheaper, minimalist, can be used in mobile screen size, and designed in a way so that it will take less time to do this boring thing.
I don't understand why people make such customization heavy tools for doing such damn boring things?
That's why I built a minimalist screenshot beautifying tool which only has radius and padding customization, easy to use controls, and a mobile friendly UI.
Till Now I have beautified ~80 screenshots from this tool in the last 30 days. Each screenshot beautification process takes around 5-10 sec only. Along with this I can post from anywhere. Most of the time I post when I'm on local trains. And I can't use my laptop to open design heavy screenshots beautifying tools.

I wanted to make chat conversation videos as content on Instagram. Want suggestions.
Lots of time I get great ideas of chat conversations. And those ideas can be funny, informational, and moral or my products launch hype videos.
I also found a tool which creates fake chat conversation videos for any platform. It can make my work way easier.
I'm thinking of creating these kinds of videos and uploading them on Facebook, instagram, threads, tiktok. Tbh my chats ideas are so engaging but don't know how insta users will react to it.
my doubt is: does this kind of content work on Insta and other social media platforms?
I'm thinking of adding a free plan in my tool. Need suggestions.
I built a minimalist screenshots beautifying tool which adds a gradient background behind your screenshots to make it look more attractive and eye catching. I kept the focus to make this process of beautifying screenshots as simple and as fast as possible.
Right now I kept only paid plan. It includes $7 life time access. With features like:
- No Watermark
- Insert custom background image
And I'm thinking adding a free plan which will includes:
- Watermark
- No custom image upload.
- Limited background gradient colours/images.
I want to do this because right my tool is getting around 800-1000 visitors monthly(sources: Twitter, Threads, Linkedin, Google).
The signup rate is good. But the buying rate is very less. So, I think the buying rate can increase if I add this free plan. Need your suggestions.
Adding free plan will increase the rate or instead I should move to next SaaS/tool while keep marketing about it.

I launched this tool 30 days ago. Stats till now:
Visitors: 762
Total signup: 13
Paid users: 1
The stats are not convincing to me. I need to do better.
My tool got #1 product of the day 🥳
Few days back I shared the update about my tool BeautifulScreenshots got product of the day on Fazier. And yesterday I got the mail that my tool also got Product of the week. And the user feedback is also very positive.
I built a minimalist screenshots beautifying tool which adds a gradient background behind your screenshots to make it look more attractive and eye catching. I kept the focus to make this process of beautifying screenshots as simple and as fast as possible.
People love the simplicity of the tool, no extra features. Easy UI which looks comfortable on a mobile screen too.
Existing tools like Canva or any other tool dedicated for beautifying screenshots are very bloated with lots of features and customization. Also, since there are lots of features, using that tool in mobile is very difficult. Mobile screen size can't accommodate all the features in a clean way.
This process should only take 10-15 seconds. But using other tools it takes around 1-5mins. My tool is to solve this. And that's why Indie Hackers, creators love it.

I built a minimalist screenshots beautifying tool.
I built this because all the tools are too heavy. So many features. It feels very confusing for me.
I'm not an editor or designer. I need something very minimalist. Bcz I use it multiple times a day. I can't spend my time on those apps which have lots of features.
So, I built this.
And thought other Dev/builders will also need a tool which will have only features needed. As much less features as possible.
And yesterday I made my first sale. So, Happy 😁.
I'm building a micro-SaaS.
BeautifulScreenshots: A tool to create beautiful screenshots for your posts and increase reach by using gradient colorful backgrounds. I built this because I was using Canva for doing this. It is very bloated and waste my time. So, I built my own dedicated tool to save time.
Another tool is XThreadMaker: Paste your long posts and get viral threads in seconds. Which you can post on X/Twitter. I built this tool because existing tools either use AI or break the text anywhere between. So, there was a need of tool which will not use AI and use a better algorithm to splits the long text by considering spaces, commas, and full stops. So, i built one which have a good Regex algorithm which considers spaces, commas and full stops before splitting the text into threads. I earned my 1st dollar from this tool with total revenue of $5 till now. So, it is very special for me.
But Domain rating to those SaaS is very less. So, I'm using these places to get backlinks and increase the DR. I thought it would be great if I shared with you all too.

I launched this tool 9 days ago and here's the stats so far now:
visitors: 220
signups: 5
paid users: 0
total revenue: $0
Progress is not good so far. But it's okay.
How to find $1M+ business ideas:
Go to TrustMRR.
Browse any startup or SaaS.
Identify 1-2 valuable features
Analyze their marketing channels.
Build a better version.
Do SEO and other marketing.
All MRR data is 100% verified.
I took WFH today.
But now there is some issue in my area and that's why they cut off the electricity.
Wi-Fi off, laptop and mobile both have less charging.
I'm cooked.
I built a tool to solve my own problems!
I was in search for a tool which will beautify the screenshots in minimal efforts. Let me honest. All the tools I found,
have:
- bloated features
- Watermark
- Bad UIUX
very difficult to use. I'm not a designer/video editor so lot of those options to make the screenshot looks better confuse me. It goes top of my mind.
So, I thought to build my own
which have:
- Only features needed
- good UIUX
And
Which don't have:
- bloated features
- Watermark
There are still few things to add but before that I thought to make it live and see user's reactions.
