Relocating to Utrecht with multiple pets - any advice?

Thinking of relocating to Utrecht, not set on area yet, but I'd likely be targetting Leidsche Rijn (got an infant, hear it's good for families)

When looking on sites like huurwoningen, selection for places that allows pets is absolutely abysmal (I have 2 cats) and there isn't even a "pets allowed filter"- is that a case of "the default is no pets but it's common to negotiate that in " or should I be looking at a different website/source somewhere?

From my understanding (could be wrong here) landlords legally can't object to pets as long as there's no property damage/general nuisance etc (which'd apply more to dogs anyway), but seems like "no pets" default would be tough to start with.

Relocating to Copenhagen with multiple pets - any advice?

Thinking of relocating to Copenhagen, not set on area yet, but I'd likely be targetting Osterbro, Valby or the Frederiksberg municipality.

When looking on sites like boligportal, selection for places that allows pets is absolutely abysmal (I have 2 cats) - is that just how the market is, is it a case of "the default is no pets but it's common to negotiate that in for a higher fee" or should I be looking at a different website/source somewhere?

From my understanding, even "Pets allowed" places are normally hard-restricted to 1 pet

Hey folks,

Young family considering moving to Denmark (used to live there in the past, absolutely miss the country).
Working primarily remote, with occasional EU flights & visits to the Copenhagen office.
Copenhagen doesn't seem like an option - having 2 cats and a baby eliminates 99% of the rental market.

Been eyeing Odense recently - seems like a very reasonable commute for occasional Copenhagen city/airport trip.

Very well aware most Danes speak flawless English, but if you're a solitary foreigner in say, a nearly exclusively Danish city, it's not ideal for day to day comfort/assimilation (fully intend to learn the language, it just ain't the fastest one to learn)

Thus comes the question - what's the international community like? Is it similar to Aalborg/Aarhus/Billund (large international student community, tech workers, etc) or closer to foreigners being exception rather than the norm?

There's a lot of content in this subreddit, news etc about feral youths, random street aggression etc.

Is Edinburgh genuinely getting relatively dangerous nowadays or is it just the rise of sensationalist reporting blowing a problem out of proportion?

Lived near Leith Walk/Pilrig Park for the last 5 years, not had an incident once, not sure if I'm just really lucky (6'1 dude, probably helps a bit) or completely normal.
