After decades of collecting, my father’s complete FIFA World Cup stamp collection is finally up for auction

My late father, from Argentina, spent decades building a thematic stamp collection dedicated entirely to the FIFA World Cup.

Instead of collecting by country, he documented the history of every World Cup—from 1930 through 2022—using stamps, souvenir sheets, first day covers, and other philatelic material from around the world. It was truly a labor of love that combined his passion for football and stamp collecting.

Over the past few months, I’ve photographed every album, reached out to experienced collectors for advice, and tried to determine the best way to honor the collection. After a lot of thought, I decided the best approach was to auction it during the 2026 World Cup, when interest in football is at its highest.
The collection is now in the United States and is being sold as one complete collection—I won’t be breaking it up.

If anyone here is interested, or knows a collector who might appreciate something like this, I’d be grateful if you could take a look or share it.

I’ve also uploaded high-resolution photos of every album and page here for anyone who wants to browse the collection:

If you have any questions about the collection, I’d be happy to answer them.

Looking for basketball experiences in Atlanta for two visiting pro players from Argentina (my nephews)

I live in Edgewood, and my two nephews are coming to visit from Argentina for 10 days starting next week. I’m hoping to make their first trip to the U.S. a memorable one.

They’re both in their early 20s and play professional basketball in Argentina. Since they’re visiting during the offseason, I’d love to help them experience as much of the local basketball culture as possible.

We’re looking for things like:
Competitive pickup games
Open gyms
Summer leagues
College campuses with good basketball facilities
Training facilities
Basketball events
Or really anything basketball-related that would be a unique experience

They’re great guys, respectful, and would love the chance to meet local players or simply experience the basketball
scene while they’re here.

They’ll be staying with me in Edgewood but are happy to drive anywhere around the Atlanta area for something worthwhile.
I’d really appreciate any recommendations or connections. Thanks!

Looking for a collector interested in an 11-volume FIFA World Cup philatelic collection (1934–2022)

I'm helping my family find a new home for a collection assembled by my late father over multiple decades.

The collection consists of 11 albums documenting FIFA World Cup philately from the earliest official World Cup issues in 1934 through Qatar 2022.

Highlights include:

• Early World Cup issues (1934 Italy, 1938 France, 1950 Brazil, etc.)
• First Day Covers
• Souvenir and miniature sheets
• Special cancellations
• FIFA and AFA (Argentine Football Association) centenary material
• Tournament exhibition items and memorabilia
• Material organized chronologically by World Cup and country, with host nations presented first

This was not built as dealer inventory. It was assembled as a historical World Cup collection and includes stamps, covers, exhibition items, and related football philatelic material.

The collection fills 11 albums and has been fully photographed:

With the 2026 World Cup currently underway, I thought this might be the right time to connect with collectors who appreciate World Cup history and sports philately.

I'm primarily looking to place the collection intact and would welcome conversations with serious collectors, sports philatelists, thematic exhibitors, or football memorabilia enthusiasts.

Feel free to comment or send me a message if interested.
