I had turned in my FMLA application to my employer about 2 weeks ago after I went to the docter and I was told that I needed hip replacement surgery because my hip bone has blood circulation cut off and the bone had started to die. I went to my employer and got the form which my docter filled out and he wrote that the estimated recovery period is 3-6 months. Today 2 weeks from my submission of the forms I got an email from my department head that said my application was denied because the estimated return date was beyond the 12 weeks that they were required to give. Im still in the process of getting ready for the surgery but now I have till tomorrow to either quite (im not going to) or get fired for job abandonment according to my boss. From my understanding the form is an application for 12 weeks. They should approve it and if my recovery after that 12 weeks requires more time then I woild be forced to quit or be fired. What should I do.

So my mom recently went to the multiple docters because he leg was hurting and it had gotten to the point where she was limping. She got diagnosed with severe arthritis and she needs a hip replacement surgery for her right side. She went to her job to get an FMLA form to fill out. She works for a ISD school district as a custodian making around 12.50 an hour. She got the forms and got them filled out by her doctor. When she turned it in today she got a call after she left the office telling her that she had two choices. Either she quite or they would fire her because the recovery period estimate that the docter wrote was 3-6 months which would be more than the 12 weeks of FMLA leave they would grant her. She became nervous because all she wanted to do was protect her job but now she is being forced to either quite which I told her not too or get fired. What should she do? Thank yall.

So my mother had went out the country to get some medical work done since its cheaper she uninsured and works as a custodian. She got an MRI done and the docter told her her the bone connecting her leg to hip is black meaning it is dead and she needs to have hip replacement surgery. She's already having pain and limping. The other day she went to work to request the FMLA forms but she hasn't filled them out since she also applied for medical assistance in our county but that takes 15-30 days for a response. If the 15 days she was given to turn in the FMLA form expire can she go back and request another form after shes been denied or accepted for medical assistance? And if so can she go back to work within the 15 days of the original form request.

What are some features that you wish manga or webtoon platforms like manga plus or webtoon had especially for indie creators?

How do yall feel about a.i voice acting? I know that 99% of people are against a.i artwork because theu tend to be trained off of other people's stolen art but there are many companies that "buy" peoples voices and make them into a.i and make audio books with them like Elevenlabs. What's yalls thoughts on this topic?

Are there any features you would like to see be added or removed from platforms that host your/other creators works? Whether it be webtoons, tapas, nami, Global comix, etc.
