Lotte NYC Palace Review

Hello all! Just a review of the Lotte NYC Palace (not the Towers). The Palace is in THC, the Towers are FHR.

Benefits Received:

  1. Room upgrade (Cathedral view room to higher floor same view)
  2. $100 daily breakfast credit (breakfast is very very expensive, bacon, eggs, and toast were $118)
  3. $100 hotel credit, enough to get a manicure / pedicure at the spa
  4. Free wifi (normally $15/day)
  5. Late checkout (although not guaranteed)

The room was large, fantastic view, solid bathroom with a big tub and single sink. Hotel feels a little worn down, but the location is great. Service was very attentive. The location is honestly the best part of the hotel, it is seriously close to everything. Would likely stay again, great value at this price point.

Family Office Analyst / Associate Comp

Hello all! Currently live in a MCOL city working in investment banking with a reputable MM shop. As a first year analyst, I made $160K. I have the opportunity to lateral to a family office in a similar city with the below pay structure for a Senior Analyst. Does this seem standard? The tradeoff seems to be the expectation that the WLB would be dramatically better but some insight on what market compensation would be great! Thank you!

Salary: $100K
Bonus: $30K

Does Celebrity have any kinds of “unhealthy” gluten free foods?

Sorry in advance about the title, I couldn’t think of a better way to describe cakes, pizza, fried chicken, etc.

I understand the GF precautions Celebrity, and most cruise lines, take, but are there any options for desserts and other delectable things? If so, how does it stack up to other cruise lines (i.e. Carnival having a GF lava cake and NCL having a simple flourless chocolate cake)?

What this boils down to is pretty basic - can I grub on pizza, cake, and stuff like that or am I restricted to the normal kind of GF options you would expect?

Thank you in advance!
