Workbench lighting questions

After years of working on my guitars on kitchen tables, ottomans, and computer desks, I am finally setting up a dedicated workbench for setups, repairs, troubleshooting, etc etc.

The biggest thing I can't seem to get right when working on my guitars is lighting. Generally I am working with desktop lamp of some kind plus the ambient lighting of the room.

It seems like I am always too bright, too dim, blocking the light...it's just never where I need it to be. I have a chance now to intentionally set up effective lighting and I am unsure what the best way to do that is.

Right now, I am using a conventional computer desk in my basement as my new "work bench". I feel that in all this I am missing some basic principles that everyone else understands, so apologies if this seems like a very basic question.

Thanks all!

Overview of publishing history

I am new to all this and looking for some article or video or overly long response to this question that can explain what happened with White wolf, paradox, etc. Basically, why and how are there so many editions, who is running things now, what does the future looks like, etc.

Even just the product history seems v interesting to me as WoD seems unafraid to step into a lot of cultural stuff that has changed a lot over the time it has existed. I find that very interesting, as well as seeing how diff game editions have adapted, course corrected, etc.

Just looking for more info to learn about these aspects.

Text Blurry on my X4?

I've seen other images of these devices and for some reason it seems my X4 has this really crunchy, blurry text. Am I crazy and this is normal? Thanks!

Ideas for "junk" commander

What commander would you pick that would enable you to play tons of pet cards, wacky cards, old cards, etc

I am looking for something to build around that gives me a HUGE pool of viable synergy pieces, preferably creatures that I can just pick my favs from and know the commander will make the rest work
