I hadn't really thought about it before, but after seeing a comparison of how interest in different countries changed during the World Cup, one thing really stood out to me.

I always assumed the host countries would naturally get most of the attention. Their cities are everywhere, the stadiums are constantly on screen, and the whole tournament is built around them.

But some of the countries people seemed most curious about weren't the hosts at all. What surprised me most was that Cabo Verde appeared to gain far more new attention than some of the countries actually hosting the tournament.

I guess it makes sense in a way. When a less familiar country suddenly performs well or becomes part of a memorable match, people want to know more about it. For many viewers, it might even be the first time they properly notice that country.

It made me wonder whether a major event really changes how we see a country, or whether it just gives us a reason to notice it for the first time.

Thinking back to Germany in 2006, South Africa in 2010, Brazil in 2014, Russia in 2018, Qatar in 2022 and now 2026, has any World Cup genuinely changed your impression of a country?

Maybe it made you want to visit, challenged something you previously believed, or simply made the place feel more real and familiar.

Which country left the strongest impression on you, and why?

As for me, I am trying to wake up an hour earlier now to have ust enough time to complete my gym workout without feeling the time pressure, but also not giving the excuse of not having enough time for consistency.

I’ve been thinking specifically about Aston Martin and how much of its appeal comes from the brand itself versus what happens on track.

Even when the car isn’t fighting at the very front, the team still carries that strong identity: British luxury, sleek design, high-end engineering, and a very polished visual presence. It feels like sponsors and partners benefit from being associated with that image, regardless of race results.

But at the same time, F1 is so performance-driven that I wonder how much that branding really sticks if the team isn’t consistently competitive.

For those who follow the team closely, do you think Aston Martin’s brand alone adds real value for its partners and image, or does it only truly matter when they’re regularly on the podium?

Lately, I’ve noticed that I sometimes enjoy shorter, more focused games more than huge open-world titles. Big maps, endless side quests, crafting systems, collectibles, and long checklists can be impressive, but they can also start to feel like work.

A tighter 8-15-hour game can feel more memorable because it respects your time and maintains sharper pacing.

Do you prefer PlayStation games that give you a huge world to get lost in, or shorter games that know exactly what they want to be?

Made a simple keto shakshuka in one pan. The bread in the photo is not included in the recipe/macros. The shakshuka itself is the keto part.

- Ingredients

• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 30g onion, finely diced
• 40–50g red bell pepper, diced
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 200g no-sugar-added crushed tomatoes or passata
• 3 eggs
• 30–40g feta, crumbled
• 1/2 tsp cumin
• 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
• 1/4 tsp chilli flakes, or to taste
• Salt and black pepper
• Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped
• Optional: extra chilli oil or hot sauce, but check for added sugar

- Instructions:

1. Heat olive oil in a small pan over medium heat.
2. Add onion and bell pepper. Cook for 3–5 minutes until softened.
3. Add garlic, cumin, smoked paprika, chilli flakes, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 30 seconds.
4. Add crushed tomatoes/passata and simmer for 6–8 minutes until the sauce thickens.
5. Make small wells in the sauce and crack in the eggs.
6. Cover the pan and cook for 5–8 minutes, depending on how runny you want the yolks.
7. Add feta and herbs on top before serving.

I usually eat it straight from the pan or with cucumber slices / keto bread/halloumi on the side.

When I played GTA V, Los Santos started feeling like my mental picture of Los Angeles, even though I know it’s a parody. The traffic, the flashy neighborhoods, the influencer culture, the desert highways, the random chaos - all blended together into this exaggerated version of Southern California. Now that Vice City is getting attention again because of GTA VI, it got me wondering whether games actually make people curious about the real places that inspired them.
