MOJ rejected my Caseworker application due to a previous dismissal, is there anything I can do?

I was dismissed from a previous role as I failed to disclose an arrest- there were no charges ever brought to me ( it was NFA) and I asked the olive if I needed to disclose it and they said no.

I later found out in an HR meeting that I did have to disclose and gave full details to my employer, however they felt I had breached their code of conduct and dismissed me. This was in 2023.

In my application for the MOJ I have been upfront and disclosed everything, I have been waiting since February and after passing all checks they have withdrawn my application.

I really wanted this job and am gutted. It was a genuine mistake on my part and as soon as I knew I had to disclose the arrest to my former employer I did- and as I said I have been completely upfront with the MOJ and disclosed everything including all disciplinary notes and letters.

Is there any point making an appeal? Or should I just move on. It feels really unfair 😢

What would you think if the Manics hired a female frontwoman full time?

I was watching Linkin Park and, even though it's due to tragic circumstances, I think Emily Armstrong has rejuvenated the band, and her vocals give the older material a new perspective.

Some of the Manics best songs recently have been duets with female singers such as the anchoress, and I think a frontwoman would give the band an interesting new dynamic. Plus it would give James's voice a rest and he could concentrate on riffs.

Forrest Gump…

I don’t think he was telling the truth about his life - he’s said ‘life is like a box of chocolates’ , I think he was using the chocolates like verbal king used the wall posters in the Usual Suspects.

I think he just made up stories based on chocolates, hence why he did everything in the world and no one recognised him.

He was a fraud boring the tits off anyone unfortunate enough to sit next to him on a bench

Has anyone watched Alice and Steve?

It’s a sitcom starring Jermaine Clemant that’s about how he starts dating his best friends daughter!

It’s basically a more realistic version of how everyone would react to Richard and Monica

Why the F did we have to wear a collar, trouser and dress shoes to get into a club? 🤷‍♂️

Early 2000’s you couldn’t get into a nightclub unless you were dressed like a solicitor!

It was mental! I WFH and the only time I ever dress as smart as I did to get into a club is for a funeral lol
