MAT

Good Afternoon

I started the MAT in elementary education on August 1st 2026. I am already at d699 and hoping to finish my whole degree including student teaching by August 2027 so I could get a job for the 2027 school year. Is that a possible goal or is it unrealistic. I am in Ny so the school year ends late like end of June.

Start date

Anyone else notice everything go away when you change your start date? I was supposed to start in September but yesterday I called and requested an August start date. Now, my whole portal is blank, it doesn't let me set up a payment plan, doesnt show tuition.

top 2 options for Masters in Elementary education inital licensure progrom

I am deciding between two masters in Elementary Education initial license programs. The programs are WGU and the University of Mount Saint Vincent.

WGU

much cheaper like 10k cheaper

More support for fieldwork/student teaching. They actually contact the school districts and school and get you placed.

Taking 1 class at a time and then mastering it and then going to the next

Scholarships available

University of Mount Saint Vincent

more expensive

School is out of the same state I want to teach in

Doesnt help you find placement you have to find it on your own

no scholarships available

acclerated two classes every 7 weeks

Can anyone offer input which one is better.
