Githyanki players: what's your Gith Tav's backstory?

Githyanki players: what's your Gith Tav's backstory?

My absolute favorite tav I've made is my githyanki bard named Sy'ren. His story is that he was left behind or chose to leave his creche when he was young and was picked up by a traveling adventuring party and was adopted by an older half-orc paladin. I think playing as a githyanki is so fun story wise with all the specific dialog options. What's your giths story?

Work in progress Backstory for my Half orc oath of devotion paladin Drezak. What do you think?

Hello! So I feel like this backstory is kind of cliché but Drezak was born into a royal/noble family and is kind of their "dirty secret" he's not recognized as a member of the family but is kept close as a guard. Then something happens with the family where they sell out the city or village and enemies attack/the village is destroyed and somehow blame they it on Drezak. He flees and then is scooped up by the nautiloid. He romances Gale because they're both in the "I'm not good enough club" and goes back to Waterdeep with him and joins one of the knight groups while Gale becomes a professor. Drezak is a very sweet himbo boy that just deserves good things. Any ideas on how to improve this?

Help me come up with a backstory for my half-orc paladin

His name is Drezak. Either oath of devotion or oath of the crown (I couldn't decide). Probably a Gale kisser

My interest in more feminine things and me possibility being a trans man confuses myself and those around me

Hello!

I'm like 85% sure I'm a trans man. I'm coming to terms with the fact that being trans and being a man can look different. I've been getting stuck on the stereotypical "I've known since I was a kid and have rejected everything feminine" thing presented in the media. I'm a softer guy, I don't see myself being big, muscular and stereotypically masculine and I thought for a long time that thats what I had to want to be to be trans. Ive only really started exploring and accepting this over the past year. What was confusing for myself and what is confusing for my mom is my interest in makeup and women's vintage clothing. (I also dressed up for boys when i was in school and would get worried if i didnt look "pretty" or "feminine" enough. When i did get the attention of a boy it would feel wrong) I've always liked these things but I think I always looked a little off when I dressed fem but didnt know why. I had thought it was just being an awkward teenager that didnt like the way they looked. Now I'm thinking its more of an art appreciation thing. I appreciate womens clothing and makeup as art forms but i dont want to wear them. Like a "i love that but I dont like it on me". But I feel like people that know me are like "but you used to dress like this and you used to get so excited about this you can't be trans" and then I start questioning myself. Did anyone else have a similar experience? (I hope that made sense I'm sorry for the rant)

How do you know if you're dissociating from your dysphoria?

I am questioning if I'm a trans man. I'm pretty sure I am but sometimes I feel empty or detached from my identity. Sometimes I don't feel as strongly like I'm a guy but I don't feel like nonbinary or woman fits either. I'm not sure if its fear or struggling to accept and actually say it outloud.

Is my perception of toxic masculinity and men what's keeping me from accepting I'm a trans man?

I think I fall into that external view toxic masculinity perspective or "ugh men" perspective and it's keeping me from accepting me being a trans man because I'm a lot softer and very much socialized as a woman and even though it's irrational I invalidate myself because of those things. I think I connect well with openly queer men because sometimes they have to confront or combat that. I hope that made sense and wasn't offensive. Thoughts?

Am I trans or just awkward?

That's a terrible title I'm sorry. I'm a 25 year old afab nonbinary person trying to figure out if I'm a trans man. I've always been an awkward person and struggled socially. I feel like I've always felt like I didn't fit in when hanging out with women (or men either actually). I always felt like a square peg in a round hole, like I was bulky or wearing a suit that didn't fit. I always attributed that to being an awkward teenager and it has improved I've found my people but I still feel like that sometimes. I feel like I'm a part of a play and I don't have all the lines. I don't really have severe dysphoria. I'm alright with my body I just think its "weird". I honestly feel like i look pretty masculine already so the fem parts are just off like "why is that there?" But no real discomfort. I've started dressing more masc and binding and I feel more confident in the way I look. I'm wondering if guess if I'm just non-binary and this is a confidence issue and I'm leaping ahead or if I'm getting more comfortable because I'm becoming me.

Am I just daydreaming/fantasizing?

I spend a lot of time in my head imagining different scenarios and making up stories in my head. I've been questioning if I was trans for months and imagining myself as a trans guy and it feels right. How do I know this isn't me just daydreaming something?
