Vellum: a fumadocs inspired markdown docs framework for laravel

I have always missed a well and modern designed fumadocs alternative for laravel. So here it is. It is currently still in development with features such as OpenApi support, blog support and more on the way toward v1. Hope this is usefull to anyone.

Made a workout app named Spotter. Fully private, on-device, no account needed.

I noticed most workout apps need a account to even function and i thought. that can be done better. why would i need to give my details to a app that saves my workout data. So that is where spotter comes in. It has been released for a couple of months now and already getting good feedback and loads of updates already published.

Roadmap:

a couple of important items are coming the next month. This includes a android version of the app and a v2 update for the ios version with loads of improvements and new features to make logging even better. check it out here: https://apps.apple.com/nl/app/spotter-gym-workout-tracker/id6780562415?l=en-GB

I built privacy focussed workout app as i feel workout tracking should be easy and private

My name is Jimmy Verburgt and i come from the netherlands. I've been focussed on making EU focussed products for a while now and this is the newest addition to that list. Spotter started because I wanted something I couldn't find myself. I was tired of apps that were bloated with subscriptions, ads, or unnecessary complexity, so I decided to build a simpler alternative.

Costs

Spotter is free to use, including up to two custom workouts, so you can get a good feel for the app without paying anything.

If you enjoy it and want more, I offer both a monthly subscription and what I think is a fair lifetime option. Buying either is completely optional, but every purchase helps me continue developing the app and adding new features. As a solo developer, that support goes directly back into making Spotter better and never needing Ads ;).

After using it myself for a long time and getting feedback from friends and early users, it gradually turned into a polished app. It's called Spotter.

What it does:

  • No account required. Just download it and start using it.
  • No ads, no tracking, and I don't sell your data. Your privacy comes first.
  • Fast and simple by design. Open the app, get what you need, and move on.
  • Built to be genuinely useful instead of maximizing screen time.
  • Regular updates based on feedback from real users.

One thing I'm always looking for is honest feedback. If something is confusing, missing, or could be improved, I'd genuinely love to hear it.

It's available on iOS here: https://apps.apple.com/nl/app/spotter-gym-workout-tracker/id6780562415?l=en-GB, and I'd love to know what you think.

Spotter: a private, native strength tracker, no account, no ads. Would love your honest feedback.

Hey r/iosapps. My name is Jimmy Verburgt, a solo dev from the Netherlands. This is my first app: Spotter, a strength tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch.

A: What problem it solves

Every tracker I tried wanted an account before my first set, shipped my training history to someone's server, and buried actual logging under upsells. I wanted the opposite: open the app, start a workout with one tap, log a set with one hand, and run the rest timer from the Lock Screen, with every rep staying on my own phone. I couldn't find that, so I spent the last year building it.

B: How it compares (honestly)

Hevy and Strong are good apps. If you want a social feed and a huge community, Spotter isn't that. What I think Spotter does better:

  • Genuinely private. No account, no ads, no analytics SDKs. The App Privacy label is literally "Data Not Collected." Your history lives on your device and syncs through your own iCloud. I couldn't look at it even if I wanted to.
  • Made for the gym floor. Your reps and weight fill the screen. Scrub to adjust, pull the set down to rack it. Plate math and warm-up ramps tell you what to load on the bar, supersets alternate without rest between exercises, and you see your last workout set for set while you train, with a suggestion when you're ready to add weight.
  • Native to the bone. Real Apple Watch app that logs sets and controls rest from your wrist, the rest timer as a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, Home Screen widgets, Control Center, Action button, Siri, Spotlight. I tried to make it feel like something Apple themselves would ship.
  • It celebrates the work. PRs pop the moment you hit them, a weekly goal ring with a streak that doesn't punish rest days, a year-long heatmap, and per-exercise trend charts (top set, estimated 1RM, volume).
  • Your gym, your exercises. 100+ built in, and you can create anything your gym has. Custom exercises get the same trends and records as the rest.
  • Apple Health done right. Finished workouts save to Health; the iPhone is the sole writer, nothing goes anywhere else.

One small bonus, not the point of the app: on iPhones with Apple Intelligence, it can reshape today's workout when you're short on time or energy. That runs entirely on-device too, and the app is fully functional without it.

C: Cost (exact numbers, no tricks)

Free to download: unlimited logging + 2 custom workouts, forever, enough to genuinely try it. Pro unlocks unlimited workouts: €24.99 / $24.99 one-time (lifetime), or €1.99/month if you'd rather not commit. Same unlock either way, no other paywalls, and logging is never limited. The subscription only exists because some people prefer it, and I'd honestly lean more towards the lifetime option.

And I'd genuinely love the roast: what's missing from your current tracker, and what would it take to make you switch from Hevy or Strong?

Building a apple fitness influenced workout app

Nothing is submitted to the app store yet but i did wanted to share some ss of what i have so far. The goal of this app was to challenge myself in staying somewhat true to apples design philosophy but giving it my own twists.

This is also optimized to take full advantage of the local llm models running on device to make workouts, change workouts based on injuries etc. Give feedback at the end of a workout and more.

I am now in the testing phase. If someone is interested please let me know and I can send a invite.

Launched a e2e file transfer web-app yesterday because I missed firefox send

For me this project has been more about learning how to build a whole 'startup' web-app from scratch including good infra, security and marketing. And for myself that goal has been met. I would love to hear some feedback from my fellow startup solo founders here. if you are interested. check it out here: tessil.app
