One year of breast pain :(

Hi friends! I'm back again after many months of trying to let this go, as I'm in need of a place to vent. I've been dealing with fairly severe left breast pain for about one year now - shooting pains, aches, soreness, burning, pinching, tingling, etc. The discomfort also extends into my left armpit, shoulder, and down my left arm. I had an ultrasound and a mammogram last fall, and both were clear. I have a doctor's appointment this Friday because it's been nearly a year since the imaging, but the symptoms have remained. I'm hoping to get a referral for another ultrasound, even for my peace of mind. Maybe you relate, but it feels a bit embarrassing to keep following up with doctors. I feel slightly crazy, but at the same time, I never experienced these pains before a year ago. I'm also concerned due to my family history of breast cancer and being in the highest density category. Hopefully, the doctor will agree to this ultrasound referral, it'll be clear (again), and then I can truly try to move forward.

Recs for barefoot winter hiking boots

Hi all! I know this is for running, but I thought I'd ask anyway since folks here are pretty experienced with barefoot shoes. I am hoping to do a couple of treks in Nepal this January, and I am looking for recommendations for barefoot hiking boots that perform well in snow, ice, and cold temperatures. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Looking for Lang Tang trekking company recommendations

Hi all! I'm planning to do the Lang Tang trek in late-December/early-January, and am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for trekking companies they've worked with previously. Thank you!

I'm feeling so hopeless. I was really hoping that this ultrasound would provide some answers. It found nothing. The "mass-like lesion" in my neck/shoulder area, detected by MRI about six months ago, was not seen on the ultrasound. I presume an over 3 cm mass didn't just disappear.

I went for an MRI because my arm went numb/heavy/sore/achey after a mammogram, and I was getting extreme burning pains in my breast and armpit. This is all still ongoing six months later.

I've done some nerve tests (EMG, etc.), and they were normal.

Have any of you ever experienced long-term (months-long) symptoms and pain following a mammogram (in areas in or around the breast itself)? That's how this whole thing started, and I'm wondering what ended up being found in other people's cases. I'd greatly appreciate hearing other people's experiences!

I'm doing another ultrasound tomorrow, but this time of my shoulder. I'm feeling so alone, and writing about this experience here helps a lot. MRI found an unknown mass near my left shoulder in November, and the pain has gotten worse and worse since. A doctor I saw tonight FINALLY agreed to do more imaging. And what is definitely not reassuring at all is that I've had an irregular period for the past six or so months. This is the first time in my life when my period has been irregular. My stomach is in knots...
