5 leaf clover gift - my experience.

I had a very interesting and nice experience yesterday. I just need to share it and would love any thoughts - commentary!

For a little background info, I have a debilitating disease (endometriosis which affects 1 in 10 women). I am raising money for surgical treatment. I sell my art and have a big sign explaining what’s going on and how I’m here to raise money. Yesterday I was working my set up on the sidewalk, at a local city art walk.

A very old woman who struck me as sweet yet incredibly uncanny came up to my booth. “Do you take card”? She said, I said no and told her I what payment apps I took and that I also took cash. She said “I am 1 in 10 also, I will see you again”… and off she went. I figured she may or may not come back, so I waited about 25 minutes then proceeded to take a walk to find a friend who was vending nearby. My father watched my booth while I was gone. I came back about 10 minutes later and found a little envelope tucked into the cloth covering my table. My father told me that the women had come back, bought $20 worth of work, and left the envelope for me. Inside the envelope was a perfectly pressed, 5 leaf clover… I didn’t even know those existed. My dad said this woman told him, “5 leaf clovers bring you money, no one should have to wait for surgery”. She also gave him a hug to “transfer to me”. I immediately had a good and spiritual feeling and accepted the hug. I proceeded to make a few hungered dollars in the last 2 hours of vending, I had only made 25 before the clover. The clover immediately felt extremely valuable to me… like an active spell or talisman… I am still a bit shocked by the experience but I am feeling very grateful and happy.

Thanks for reading!

Has anyone seen Peter Barton-Smith in London?

I’m hoping to hear from anyone who has been evaluated or treated by Peter Barton-Smith. What was your experience like? Did you feel listened to? If you had surgery with him, how was the process, recovery, and outcome? Were there any unexpected costs or things you wish you had known beforehand?

For those who had surgery, was excision the primary approach? Was any ablation performed, and if so, was that discussed with you and included in your consent beforehand?

I’m also interested in how consent was handled regarding organ removal or more extensive procedures. If removal of an ovary, fallopian tube, appendix, part of the bowel, or any other organ was considered or ultimately performed, was this discussed with you beforehand? Did you feel the consent process was clear regarding what could and could not be removed during surgery?

I’m also curious about experiences with Professor Davor Jurkovic and the ultrasound assessment before consultation. Did you feel the scan was thorough? Did the findings end up correlating with what was found during surgery, if you went on to have one? Did Dr. Barton-Smith reference the imaging findings during consultation?

The clinic appears to take a multidisciplinary approach, and I am highly suspected to have bowel involvement (as well as possibly diaphragm involvement). If you had surgery with Peter Barton-Smith, were other specialists (such as colorectal surgeons) involved or available if bowel endometriosis was found? How was that handled in your case?

BOWEL ENDO specifically…
I’m also interested in how bowel involvement was handled. If bowel endometriosis was found, were options such as shaving, disc excision, bowel resection, or a temporary/permanent stoma discussed with you beforehand? If you required a bowel resection or stoma, how was the decision-making process handled, and did you feel adequately informed and prepared for the possibility?

Any experiences, positive or negative, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

L-glutamine, N-Acetylcysteine (NAC), and GABA for endometriosis?

I’ve been hearing some pretty good things about NAC for endo, supposedly that it can reduce pain, endometrioma size and lesion size/growth. So decided to go down a research rabbit hole. There I found that L-glutamine and GABA work well together for endo in regards of the central nervous system, cellular metabolism, and inflammation. I also read that L-gutamine feeds rapidly dividing cells and therefore women with a history of estrogen dependent cancers are unable to take L-glutamine… which I feel contradicts some of my research in regards of its supplemental benefits to endo.

I feel I still have a lot to learn about the topic but am very interested.

If anyone has any good or bad experience with taking any of these supplements, I’d love to hear. Any solid resources/ information are also welcome.
