Their next six opponents after tomorrow’s game against the Phillies average + 62.6 run differential. The only team in the negative is Cleveland with a -8. The Phillies are +10 for what it’s worth. It’s time to buckle down. It’s going to take a team effort to have success during this tough stretch.

Could you imagine if the Pirates had that 7th, 8th and 9th inning bullpen akin to that trio of Justin Wilson, Tony Watson, and Mark Melanson? It was pretty much game over when those three came in with a lead with that team a little over a decade ago. If they had something like that now the Pirates might be challenging Milwaukee for first place. I know it’s a moot point but it’s good to dream.
